location close to roma st station
old building beds not the comfiest
Hard beds TV didnt work well
Katrina on the front desk was beautiful and very helpful in everyway
Run down window and air con area
size of room. Amount of external noise
Great location. Very central. Helpful staff (well one of them was) Low price. Really if your only aim is cheapest you can find and central then this is for you. Otherwise nothing positive I'm afraid.
Tiny room No natural light. Claustrophobic feel. 2 thick bare foam sheets on top of mattress. Probably to add comfort but would say it's very unhygienic
Location and availability when all other recommended accomodation was fully booked.
Very dark and small room. Noisy at night could hear people talking and coming and going all night.
Price and room for entire family, otherwise hard to come by. Clean enough and enough room for the price - can't complain but nothing to get excited about.
Male at desk during most of our stay couldn't raise a smile or acknowledge a good-day on passing (though my wife says that female on desk when she checked in earlier was helpful. Needed to wedge into the shower.
Garbage trucks emptying large bins outside window at 2am then again at 3am which were all bottles. Not at all impressed when I had a 5.30am start the next day. Bed was as hard as a rock and em suite shower was extremely small looked like it had previously been the built in robe.
Central location in central Down Town close to the Roma street station. Relatively cheep.
Very small room. Extremely small shower. Very cheep mattress. Room was very noisy.
Smallest motel room I have ever been in. Not even a cupboard to hang clothes. Shower too small to turn around in.
Location, bed comfy ,found staff friendly ,good hot shower
Size of room only just big enough but you get what you pay for. It is a budget hotel. If you want better pay more
No parking facilities nearby.
I just like the bed
The bedding was terribly hard with only a sheet and a very thin blanket. The bathroom drains stunk and did not have any windows or fans, it also was extremely small.
I needed a Room for a night close to Roma Street Station. This Hotel is 2 minutes walk to Station. It is not a grand place, but for what I paid and the short time I was in room it served my purpose. Room is small and so is shower, but bed was comfy and plenty of hot water.Everywhere was very clean. What more could I want. I will stay again if need to.
Bed and other facilities are not up to the standard. Fees and charges for using WiFi or phone should have mentioned in the web page. WiFi for 24 hr @ $5 and local phone call $0.80; too much! Some rooms of one side of the building are not liveable due continuous sound all day and night from big cooling fans of the neighbouring building; no sound proofing.
Great Location. Staff were very polite.
It was cheap. That's about it.
Tiny room, no natural light, weird disinfectant smell, noisy fridge. Only go here if you really have to.
Only the price, initially.
Room size, tv not working. Couldn't fill jug, no space, no doors opened fully. Bad smell
Extremely dirty and no cleaning
As vouched for by others: first & foremost, the location. It seems that every place that we needed to get to was within a short walking distance from the hotel: Brisbane transit centre, newsagent, souvenir shops, North Quay jetty, Queens St. Mall, QUT etc. Rooms were clean. Friendly & helpful staff. The laundry room was adequately equipped & easily accessible from our room on the ground floor.
The two of us stayed in a double room and barely had space to move around & place our luggage. The bathroom was quite cramped but sufficient for our purposes. Rooms had a strong musty smell when we first checked in but after switching on the air conditioning unit for awhile, that managed to sort out that out. You can hear movements & conversations in the next door room quite clearly, so if you're a light sleeper & have a noisy neighbour, that might be a problem.
