Neat and clean. The constant noise (air rushing sound) coming from behind the shower. Didn't sleep at all, but will bring ear plugs if I stay again. No shampoo so I didn't worry about a shower. No shuttle to terminal.

As it advertised it was a basic hotel in a location close to the airport. No lift to the floors 1to 4 making it difficult too carry bags up and d own No transport to the airport as it was easy to get lost and the route to the airport is exposed to the weather. Perhaps Add a few dollars and provide transport. At the least handout a map with directions to the airport and to the hotel from the terminals

Nothing While the room looked clean it had a horrible STENTCH , I assumed came from some sought of smoking. I had to get up at 4-30 am so I did not bother to ask for another room just opened the window and stayed awake listening to the heavy traffic outside.

Walking distance from airport. Perfect for late evening arrivals. Pick up a hire car after a good nights sleep and you are on your way.

Proximity to the airport Bathroom where lack of shower curtain meant water went everywhere. Backpacker standard accommodation at hotel prices

location arrived @ 1.30 am, left 6.00 am=-no staff on duty throughout this time. Room smelt musty but no one to go to about any issues. Worst woke at 5.00 am to discover flood under basin opposite end of room from shower unused prior to then. Believe leak from rain but smell suggested on going problem. Had I seen staff I'd have expected change of room. Having left my water sodden shirt on the floor lake I abandoned it there. I expect someone would contact me/arrange full refund/credit with alternative hotel in group. Really shocked with this experience.

Proximity to airport. VERY basic. No shampoo or hairdryer. Room stank of cigarette smoke. I checked out hours earlier than necessary due to awful smell. I'd rather pay a bit more and be comfortable.

The design of the room was good and efficient. No problems with room or heating. Prefer a place where you can make tea or coffee rather than purchase from vending machine. I was disappointed that Ibis-Budget Melbourne Airport did not have the facilities the same as Sydney Olympic Park where you could buy a microwave dinner and make your own tea and coffee.

Location to airport - evening staff helpful. I accidentally left some items in my room; when I phoned from nz the receptionist was rude, unhelpful and advised the items were not handed in (I.E. the staff must have taken them instead). I was most unimpressed.

Convenience - so close to the airport which was my purpose for staying in Melbourne The carpet next to my bed had an obvious vomit stain. The hallway and room smelt of cigarette smoke? Someone was trying to get into my room at about 11pm and continued to try three or four times. There was no way of me contacting anyone re security as there is no phone or even emergency button in the room. Eventually I just yelled out to go away. I could hear them trying other doors as well. At 1.30 am the fire alarm went off and we evacuated to the car park- there was no one there to tell us anything and no one checked a guest list to ensure everyone was out-and they were not-we saws someone look out their window. The firemen walked across the car park-I am not sure where the truck was. Others spoke out in the car park of people trying their door too and of the obvious cigarette smell. We then saw the girl who booked me in and a couple of us spoke to her re feeling unsafe-she gave us her mobile number should it happen again. We went back into our rooms after about 40 minutes. On checkout I informed the reception staff member of my concerns -he informed me he would let management know but was in no way apologetic.
