Clean room, good location, good price, 24 hours free tea and coffee
Nowhere to hang clothes in the bathroom, no wifi in room.
Near to public transportation, Chinatown, library with good free wifi, museums, art galleries. Frig, coffee maker in room, shared kitchenette, good elevators, good ventilation.
Street entrance could be more attractive. Lobby area small.
Beds were cheap, squeaky and flimsy. Room resembled a prison cell. NO privacy for personal hygiene. One chair for four people, nowhere to sit. Would not stay there again, it was awful, felt grubby and closed in.
Very quiet, clean and comfortable. Excellent friendly staff, Will definitely stay here again. Great value for money.
Excellent service from Lucia who helped me via email to use a money grant and reinburse my account when I arrived. Also many thanks to Kelly who authorised this. I particularly enjoyed the location and would not hesitate to stay again. Value for money - a pleasant and enjoyable stay in Melb. Many thanks Yvonne Jones
1) Convenient, located downtown close to transport, meals and shopping 2) IBIS budget hotel is comfortable and they change the towels daily 3) Had a room comfortable for 3 adults 4) Clean 5) Free coffee and tea
1) NO free wifi, very expensive to use this service in the hotel 2) The wash basin too small, spilling water on the floor and only a curtain for enclosure 3) Hard to control the HOT and COLD water mixture, normally is scaling hot
The bunk beds were not made up. We had to put pillow cases on pillows and make the beds.
Cozy, comfortable, clean and worth for money..easy acces, near to victoria market and flinders street station..just walk to near attraction, free city circle stop and also melbourne visitor shuttle..really recommended!
Simple and efficient. Great location. No frills, ideal for travellers or people not wanting to spend time in a hotel. Use for sleep.
Lifts are a bit slow and one was out of order for part of the day whilst we were there.
it was in town
room was really really small with just bed with toilet ..
No power point near the mirror
small but comfortable.
Needs new curtains they were too small to cover the window.
The Ibis hotel is within walking distance to many of the attractions Melbourne has to offer. Close to restaurants and shopping as well, we basically only used the room for sleeping at night, which was comfortable and quiet.
As I had adult children the upper bunk wasn't suitable, (being made of metal - was noisy when they turned over) but there was enough room to put the mattress on the floor for the few days we were there. Not a problem really.
In the middle of Melbourne City No need for taxi or tram to get around
Decent shower and toilet Decent TV Central location Fairly Helpful staff
Bad elevators Bad beds - very soft Pillow case was dirty but happily changed No shampoo or condition or shower cap
Good value in central location
dirty corridors, no kettle or fridge in rooms
Very central and cheap
No tea or coffee making facilities/fridge in the room
Located near everything, easy to find food - there's Subway below the hotel. Grocery shop nearby, tramp stop just at the front of the hotel, 5 minutes to Flinders St Station.
The concept is like backpackers style, but you can't cook. We booked family room, and it's very small. Not even some spaces for your luggage cause they don't provide any wardrobe.
rattly bed squeaky floor small toilet
The location was fantastic and easy to get to
Nothing very negative except The hotel is very basic so you get what you pay for but it was comfortable enough
Close to railway station, trams
The Indian night staff was very rude to us. There was another group of guests in the pantry making so much noise but the staff came direct to my parents & me telling us to be quiet in such a rude manner. We were just having our dinner with small talks.
