Close to everything in the city, cheap, clean.
The size of the bathroom and the no wall or door for the bathroom
Budget hotel, good value for money. Facilities are not posh but they're good enough for a budget hotel.
No mirror/power point to do my hair. No cupboard to hang clothes
Location and informal style.
Location - central, in between Flinders Station and Central Station. Unlimited coffee/tea/hot water.
no wifi, lucky telstar hot-spot is everywhere!!
Central Melbourne, good
No bad experience
The location is fantastic the hotel is in walking distance of Flinders Station, the department stores, Victoria market and all the great laneways and side streets. Clean room & great shower but prepared to travel budget -small room, no open windows/views, kitchen facilities available on the 1st floor only, no drawers or wardrobe.
Close to City
Very small room, only one power point. No power point in bathroom,no wardrobe for clothes carpet dirty, no working fan in bathroom, no natural light as the only window was painted over. Would not stay again!!!!
Location was great
Room was very small and quite dirty had black marks all over the walls , shower walls were grotty, and toilet was continuously running
It was quiet
Carpet Bathroom no glasses
Location for the CBD
Double bed had collapsed corner so badly tilted. Had to lie at foot to sleep. AC very noisy and inefficient. Zero ventilation as couldn't open window--common in modern cheap places.
Super location, a short walk from everywhere we had to go. Able to sleep 6 people, brilliant.
A power point in the bathroom would have been very handy for 6 females!
Rooms and carpets starting to get scruffy
Great location, very friendly staff, value for money.
The location is very central to shops & transport. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good value at the peak of summer school holidays.
Room needed at least 1 drawer for personal items. No electrical outlet in the bathroom space for a hairdryer or electric shaver.
room facillity too simple
Comfy bed, great location, easy check in
Pay for WiFi only available at reception
Good bed Good bunk configuration friendly staff excellent location security staff at night limiting access
shower washbasin very limited space defined by curtain rail. There was space to make it a bit bigger.
The Location was very central for all sightseeing needs, the tram is outside and Flonders Street station is a 5 min walk away. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. The bed linen and towels were fresh and clean.
This is not to be confused with an Inis Budget in the UK, it is really a very low budget, almost backpacker type, accommodation. The rooms were very basic, double bed with bunk over, corner table shower with a curtain and toilet, that's it. The rooms were ok, but in bad need of a facelift. There was a communal kitchen area, very backpacker style. Had I realised the accommodation was like this I would never have booked it, but we made the best of it for the few days we were there.
too noisy on low ground room
Cramped, smelt of take a way food, lack of facilities
The location is brilliant. The price was good.
Unfortunately, every extra thing required a fee - WiFi at AUD5 per 30 mins, a computer for AUD1 per 10 mins and AUD6 to store the luggage for a day.
The room was fairly basic in it's amenities, but all the essentials were there (ensuite, toilet, tv, minifridge, desk and chair). There's nothing that could be called 'luxurious', but what else can you expect for such a good price? The whole room was scrupuously clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Extra points for pillows that weren't flat, and thanks to the nice receptionist who let me check in early, so I didn't have to spend money on a locker for my suitcase. Also, the Elizabeth st location was extremely handy - I could walk almost everywhere I wanted to go.
It would have been nice to have a clothes-rack, or even a long table, to set out my things. I used a spare bunk, but a family using all the beds would have had to literally live out of suitcases or spread out over the floor.
Location is perfect
Shower was nice /new and clean . Just would be nice to be in a seperate room
