Franklin Central Apartments    

The location was excellent being walking distance to the markets, theatre, restaurants and shopping.

The bed was a bit hard and there was no air flow in the bedroom. A ceiling fan would be good.

The hotel was handy to all transportations. Trams and buses. It was also close to the Market and Coles supermarket, that was handy. It was a short distance to the majour Rundle Mall.

Everything was clean and working

On a trip to Adelaide that failed dismally across the board my travel companion and I both agreed that Franklin Central Apartments was the one part of our stay we enjoyed! The rooms were smartly decorated and kept in pristine condition, the staff were friendly and approachable and the price was very reasonable for the quality of the room. If by some vague chance I ever happen to stay in Adelaide again I will gladly do so with Franklin Central and will recommend my friends to also!

If I had one criticism it would be that it may be time to update the mattresses. Whilst I slept fine And the mattresses were clean I can't help but feel that investing in something of slightly better comfort would reap huge benefits..... Having said that I work in the furniture industry and am admittedly somewhat picky when it comes to mattresses.

Good quality toiletries and tea and coffee, I am sick of travelling and paying $200+ a night and having to drink homebrand tea and international roast coffee

Location, facility, hotel service. Just perfect. Our room is near the street, just bit noisy.

Room sizes are very small AC available in TV lounge only and hard to get cooling in the rooms Noise/disturbance during the weekend nights

We liked everything

Not much.

The staff weren't friendly at all. The room was clan but very small and there was only one small window that didn't provide much fresh air and was facing offices with no view. The main bedroom was just big enough to fit a queen bed with no room around it and the second bedroom only had one single bed in it. No good for a family of 4. We checked out after one night, were charged for two nights, but were happy to get out of there. Only had one lift which was very busy and very slow with no stairway to walk even if we wanted to as you couldn't access the floors from it.

Overall it was clean, well located and adequately equipped (even though we didn't use it for cooking), but the furniture and general ambience of the place was more utilitarian than I was expecting. Overall I'd give it 7 out of 10.

Staff initially were very helpful in letting us store luggage before our stay.

We requested a 2 bedroom apartment for 4 adults. We got 1 double + 1 single with a sofa bed in the lounge. This is not acceptable accommodation for 4 adults! There were insufficient towels, pillows etc.and we had to hunt to find these!
