I strongly recommend Gem Apartment for families with kids. (I stayed here with 3-years-old son.) 1. Easy access to everywhere to Melbourne for kids e.g. Melbourne aquarium (4minutes Tram & 5 minutes walk) Melbourne zoo (30 minutes Tram including Tram transfer) 2. Easy access for shopping e.g. South Melbourne market & Woolworth (2 minutes Tram & 3 minutes walk) 3. Easy access to MCEC We enjoyed Melbourne because of staying Gem Apartment.

Great location and good facilities made for a generally pleasurable stay.
The ensuite was not clean/ very well maintained and there were only two towels in the main bedroom, which meant having to wash towels all the time. The rooms also received a significant amount of traffic noise.

Great location, walked an tram it every where. Very clean, great big room, and cupboards. IGA down the corner was very convenient. Overall a great place to stay while in Melbourne city.
In the bedroom the city lights were annoying, the Kitchen could use more pots n panes, bin bags. The kitchen was a bit small too.
Right from the start the staff were friendly, responsive and provided great service. The location is fantastic, right next to the Crown casino complex with southbank and the new south wharf giving heaps of food options. There is a tram stop right outside the front door which goes both to the city and St Kilda. We were in the Centurion building and the apartment was huge with great views. Really well stocked kitchen equipment.
Well equipped and plenty of room for 7 of us in 3 bedroom 2 bathrooms. Juliet was especially helpfull with early check in and looked after our luggage until 5pm We will return again

The apartment was exactly what was shown in the online booking. Modern,stylish and good quality furniture and decor. Spacious apartment and lovely to have a pool facility.
Vacuum cleaner very ordinary,suction poor. Towel rack in bathroom broken. Need clothes horse in apartment as some clothes cannot be tumble dried.

I liked the location and ease of getting transport.
It was too noisy!!! Fifth floor apartment is too close to traffic. Being at a major intersection and a tram stop you hear every single sound.

The only drawback was the traffic noise at night mostly from trams and tooting horns. I would suggest these apartments are not very soundproof and therefore not suitable to the light sleeper.
location was pretty good. good room with balcony. friendly/helpfull staff at front desk.
king bed wasnt very comfortable as it was just two singles pushed together. loud construction acoss the road, althought that isnt their fault.
Easy walking to the Melbourne convention centre and sporting fields. Staff were very helpful with directions and local knowledge. Foodworks shop next door, very handy for supplies.
Building signage found it hard to know I was in the right place.

The lift got stuck on the 6th floor twice.

The apartment was on the 17th floor. Keys were available when we arrived and lifts very quick. The apartment was very well equipped, good washing machine, dishwasher etc. supermarket by front door. Melbourne south bank, conference centre etc on doorstep, trams to City very nearby.

We loved the location and the lay out of the unit. The beds were very comfortable and the view spectacular.
I also had to use the tea towels to wipe down the benches as there was no dishcloth. Only a small complaint. It also took a while to find spare towels.
