I stayed in Warrnambool for five days for radiation at Warrambool Cancer Centre, accommodated mostly at Rotary House, The Cancer Centre and Rotary House are beautiful facilities for country people in need of specialist medical services that require overnight stays. The Peter's Project Lounge at the cancer centre is a great place to rest, read, watch tv and talk to volunteers. However, five days was long enough as I was eager to get home and back to work. It would have been easier if I'd had access to a car during this time. I would have gone on afternoon trips to Portland, Port Fairy, Timboon Ice Cream, Koroit Bakery etc. I enjoyed Turmeric Latte and Gypsy Salad at Day Kitty (an organic cafe) and went to the beach once. I enjoyed working at Warrnambool Library, on the second floor with access to computers and a view of the ocean.

Love the ocean location and all the walking possibilities.
Love the ocean location and all the walking possibilities. There are also good places to eat in and around the town. The town is big enough to have all the necessary shops and facilities but small enough to get around easily. Lots of beautiful tree-lined streets for shade make walking a pleasure.

Warrnambool is a beautiful place to visit.
Warrnambool is a beautiful place to visit. The Deep Blue Springs is a great place to visit. Reasonable, relaxing place and enjoy all the pools. A twenty-minute drive to Pt Fairy and have a look around the marina and there was a great coffee shop for coffee. Nice shops in the main street of Warrnambool. All the dining places we went to eat were very good and we had not trouble with the food.
Some were:
Myrtle kitchen
Images Restaurant Cafe and Cocktail Bar
Clovelly Restaurant
Breakfast at Pavillon Cafe & Bar

Warrnambool is very bike friendly and one end of the port Fairy to Warrnambool Rail Trail. It has lots of great restaurants and breakfast at The Pavilion was delicious. Our accommodation at Ellenora was first class—spotlessly clean, comfortable and well situated. Took our bikes on the train from Melbourne and enjoyed a car-free holiday.

Lovely town overall with great facilities.
Lovely town overall with great facilities. Plenty of places to visit. Killarney beach is worth a visit albeit a bit of a trek. Some nice places to eat or get a snack with the Gateway Shopping Centre a stones throw away from my accomodation. If they had a decent airport within reach, a good place to live!
On positive side, our room was but clean small, so it was OK. The bath house was good as well. The rest is rather negative.
The hotel is located not far away from a beach, but you can get a glimpse of a sea view only from top floors.
Even our room had a balcony, we only see a car park, a lobby roof and the opposite building.
Really? For that price?
The air con was noisy, so we switched it off for overnight, but it did not help becouse you can hear well the air con from a next door appartment located on a balcony 0.5 m away from ours.
We had an awful experience. We booked 3 rooms as we had family staying over for our daughter’s 18th. When the kids came home at 1am they couldn’t get into their room because the key card wouldn’t work and they had to sleep on the floor. We tried raising someone at the hotel for 2 hours but couldn’t get hold of anyone until after 9am the next day! It was freezing cold and none of us got any sleep.
The house was flexible in terms of accommodation. It was great to find somewhere that fitted our group of 6 single adults.
The house is well suited to family groups sharing. They've obviously thought about what a large group needs. The kitchen/breakfast room was a highlight.
Hosts were helpful and informative. We'd definitely stay here again
Friendly reception and a good feeling of luxury. One of the very few places on our 4,000km journey that actually had a coffee (pot)machine with good quality coffee. Most other places we stayed we were presented with a cheap “plastic” (instant) coffee. Very clean and apartment is well presented. Thank you very much!!
the place really felt like a home away from home. it was well equipped with all the necessities. everything was spick and span, neat and tidy! my family was all praises for this place. a pity we only booked for 1 night. will come back again next time!
We walked into a spotlessly clean room with everything we needed. It was comfortable and very central. It was also extremely quiet. We weren’t expecting much considering how cheap it was
it’s the first time I have stayed at a hotel and it was exactly like they say it was Will be going back to Warrnambool and will be staying there again will not stay anywhere else
The room was brilliant, exceptionally clean and comfy. and the staff were knowledgeable and very helpful. A great stay ... definitely will return on next visit to Warrnambool.
The cabin was comfortable and was pet friendly. There was a well appointed kitchen, but while cooktop was provided, lacked an oven so we had to use the one at the camp kitchen.
Location was good; ideal place for 2 separate families with the upstairs / downstairs separation. Quaint heritage house. Had dishwasher, washing machine in working order.
