Noisy a/c unit room was stuffy
Good value for money, clean and confitible with friendly Staff
Free Wifi was a bonus. The nice Thai restaurant in town a good find.
It is very conveniantly located.
The room reeked of mould!! It was all I could smell even though I sprayed deodorant and after shave around!!
for the price it was everything you need.
shower could do with so.e more pressure
Great Price. Food was excellent.
parking a bit tight at front
Air con rattled
Nothing, the pool was disgusting, room small an not up to standard, bathroom smelt of urine, hand rail fell off, roof had holes it in, for $120 a night a caravan park is better!!!! No phone in room, small air con, which was loud, no under cover parking. The whole hotel smelt!!! Was meant to stay 2 nights, but had to get out the place in case of bed bugs.
Double booking: Had to leave two days early. Pretty unhelpful staff.
Rooms was spacious, the staff were friendly. wifi was free but a bit patchy. The attached hotel had a bar and did food, which was convenient for us. The decor was functional, but the food was OK. Gladstone is an industrial town with lots of visiting workers, and the hotel/motel seemed to cater primarily for this clientele.
Pool was small, washing machines/driers were broken, and the whole place looked tired. We were told that renovations were beginning Nov 2014 - they are definitely needed
The were friendly and the food was yummy and the kids meals were a good size for kids
Bed was very comfy, location good
The rooms are in need of refurbishment
Tea and coffee making facilities was lovely after a long drive, and supplying an iron and ironing board was a bonus.
Unfortunately, I had very noisy neighbours who came in and went out slamming doors and talking loudly for most of the night. I was woken up at 3am by what seemed to be a group of men constantly going in and out and knocking on the doors to be let in. Also, the security of the room was not sufficient, no deadlocks, no security screen on the windows that overlook the carpark on ground level. Any body could just open the window and come in. The window in the room I was in was not locking properly either. I felt unsafe being on my own.
Location and price. while certainly not the best accommodation we have stayed in, we have no complaints when the price is taken into account. The food at the in house restaurant was good.
Air conditioning in the room for such a well priced stay.
The bed was great. The staff were fabulous and very helpful.
Shower would not stay at one temperature. The water pressure also kept changing. The curtains did not shut fully There was a couple of Cocharoaches running around the floor of a night when I got back from dinner there isn't enough lighting in the room of a night. Especially if your trying to write at the desk
Best Value for money in Gladstone
comfortable bed, quiet considering right next door to pub.
air con not working properly
We're pleasantly surprised on entering our room, it was well presented, clean, we'll equipped, thought there may be a noise issue as was close to hotel section and restaurant, but NOT a sound was heard. Reason for surprise I must add was because the outside appearance was not great....shows you can't judge a book by it cover.
The food was good.
The place is old & smelly & totally needs a revamp, I've stated all over Australia& this place would have to be the worst place I've stayed at, beds are so old & you can feel springs in the bed that are broken, mould in bathroom, & dirty linen, never recommend this place, very below average.
Shower water was either all cold or all hot. Both of us had to sleep without having a shower :(
The bar was nice and the meals were great. The bar staff were great.
Lift buttons didn't work and with a sore ankle I had to use the stairs. I had to pay the first night myself as the motel didn't accept American Express even though the booking was done online. I arrived on Sunday night to check in to be told that I wasn't able to stay unless I paid. The pool was closed.
Older building that needs some maintenance.
