The best thing about the hotel was its breakfast. We paid extra for two rooms with views and there was no views, we overlooked a fire exit and if you swayed your head back and forth between the trees you got a fleeting glimpse of some water. |

It was comfortable and clean and the choice for breakfast on a morning was exellent for the price. There was also plenty of information on hand for things to go and see and do around sydney. The internet on hand was a little over priced i thought. 2 dollars for 15 minutes compared to what you pay in the centre of sydney. |

The outlook of the hotel is good with a comfortable open area for dining and relaxation. The location is far and transportation fee relatively high. The beddings were poor, not as clean as shown in the pictures. |

It is in a convenient location and the price was very reasonable. It was good to have the option of a twin and a single room, which suited our needs, many other hotels only offer double rooms. The fact that there was no en-suite bathrooms in the rooms, having to share bathrooms with other guests and often having to wait for a bathroom to become available was annoying. Also, we did not particularly like the breakfast, there was no fresh fruit available, only tinned, and there was no coffee machine to make fresh coffee. |

Generally clean and comfortanble. Included breakfast very good. I found the room stuffy and smelled of, I think, cleaning fluid of some kind. I had the window open at all times. Also the people next door did not use the shower opposite their room but the one opposite mine. I realise it was a communcal facility. I do not know if there was more than one person in there but they didn't appear to use the one opposite their room at all. |

The great b/fast, easy access to transport, city and attractions, pleasant staff and helpful staff. The six flights of stairs to access our room, will request downstairs next time, the hard pillows need to do something about those, Not notified that you no longer do evening meals until the second time we tried to book. |

The surroundings - being so close to the bridge and the look of the lodge I was unaware when I booked that there was no ensuite bathroom. I cannot be comfortable using shared facilities. |

I liked that it is close to the city. 5 MInutes walk by foot and i could see the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. I also liked that the hotel is in a quiet part of north sydney and surrounded by upper-class environment |

Quite centrally located .....would however have been nice to know instead of catching a cab from circular quay to the hotel that one is infact able to catch a ferry for less than half the price!!!!! That the bathrooms are not in the bedrooms .... even just a basin in the room would make it more comfortable!!!! The noise generated past the room as people were going to and fro during the night to the bathroom !!!!! aswell as the hinges on the doors allowing them to close noisly insead of quitely !!!! disturbing ones sleep ... a lift for heavy suitcases would also be advantageous!!! |

The first phrase that comes to mind is ''Feels like home". From the first minute there I felt that the staff and its owners wanted you to just relax and treat the place like it's your own. Friendly, helpful staff. Unbelievably clean shared bathrooms (don't know how you do that). Memorable fully cooked breakfast and keen-to-please cooks. No lift and it would have been nice if somebody at reception could have given us a hand with the luggage. But maybe we should just learn to travel lighter! |

Beautiful building, excellent location, friendly staff, and delicious breakfast. I was shocked that we had shared bathroom facilities! (Perhaps this was described on the website but I did not notice this.) There was long brown hair stuck in the spare blanket in our room ... which was a little off putting! |

The breakfast was good and the location nice and safe. Upon arrival at 7am (after a long flight from Bangkok) we were told we hadn't paid and therefore did not have a room. It took for me to print off my bank balance (they did not accept Bookings.com's written confirmation) to show them the money had indeed gone out. Very painful and drawn out process. |

The garden, the quiet and safe location of the hotel, the 'blue ribbon' surroundings, the close proximity to the CBD, the huge breakfasts...all for an incredibly low rate! |
