The location was fabulous, it was a 3 minute walk to the beautiful beach and a 5 minute walk to the centre. The hotel is being renovated and the main reception, bar and swimming pool are amazing. The comtempory design is spectacular and very different from any other hotels we stayed in. The staff were mostly very friendly and helpful. I would love to stay there again once the work was finished. Although the room was very nice, they are currently renovating from the 8th floor up to the 15th floor and we were staying on the 7th floor. This meant that we had to put up with constant banging whenever we were in the room, and we were woken up at 6:15am and 7am by the work, which we did complain about and the staff gave us a discount on the drinks that we had added to our bill. Once the work is finished, the hotel will be stunning, but check the website before booking or ask the staff whether the work is still being carried out.

Fantastic restaurant I recommend the buffet breakfast and dinner was fabulous. I really enjoyed it a lot. Great location for buses to theme parks and easy walk to shopping and main mall. They think they are a little more upmarket than they actually are and i did not get any service in the bar.

We were very impressed with the Bartender (don't know his name) we encountered on our arrival (around 17:30 on 5.10.11). He suggested we dine at the buffet upstairs, which we did, and we were very happy with the entire evening. I think the renovations to the hotel are lovely - would love to see the rooms once they're completed.

Good vibe. Great decor. Lemonade on arrival was a nice touch. Very nice breakfast. We left our room around 4pm and advised reception that we had the bathroom lights didn't work, and they advised that these would be fixed while we were out. We came back late at night (about 11pm) to find our room had no power. We told reception and had to wait about 15 minutes to be told we had to move to another room. We had to pack all our things in our room (in the dark) and transfer these over to a room of the same standard. We were offered zero compensation for the inconvenience, which I thought was really poor of the hotel. They could have given us a discount on our room or breakfast, or upgraded us - but nothing.

The attention to detail was very well done. The funky sixties beach vibe was carried through every part of the hotel, foyer, restaurants, bar, staff uniform, menus, etc. An easy place to relax.

Loved the design and the colour of the interior! And all the quirky items in the room. Really enjoyed the Teppanyaki restaurant. And the fact of having a cool bar downstairs that attracted people from outside the hotel. Erica at the pool bar was a delight and full of local knowledge! A few things throughout the hotel mainly regarding lighting and electrical fittings weren't quite right and were showing the wires, or the lift the panels were off which made it apparent that the hotel was probably old and had just been renovated. I liked the bed but my partner thought it was too soft. The clock in our room was strangely on nsw time so we were showing up to appointments an hour early.

I did like design about qt Gold Coast hotel. It was absolutely clean, beautiful, funky, modern designed hotel, very well situate, close to everything - the beach, the shopping centre, the restaurants. I can't say that I didn't like something! The hotel is new so some of the stuff were still learning things. So sometimes it wasn't that smooth, but I will still recommend it! We enjoyed it!
