The service, the friendly staff, the location excellent. Better than surfers paradise central. Very disappointed with breakfast, hot food should be hot, not cold. Should offer coffee different sorts, not just plunger with floaties of coffee in my cup, must upgrade plungers. Thinking back, that's maybe why I was offered it at $25. No offence, it was the most expensive toast I have had. Needs improving, especially chefs, need to smile and offer different egg sorts, staff don't want to be there.

Location fantastic....and facilities great parking poor...blues festival was on and we should have been pre warned although we booked on line. We just wanted a quiet week-end and we got far from that. Was not the hotels fault though. Would have liked a room more with a view of the ocean

Location, friendly staff Internet is not included. You have to pay extra to access internet in the room. They let you use internet in the Business center complimantary for a short time only once, unlike other hotels where they give you a code to use in the business center once every day of your stay for half an hour each time.

The projected images of the Eiffel Tower in the lobby at night. - bed was great - Spa wasn't the cleanest - room was nice but not that great - rooms a bit dated and on small side - not good value for the spa room at $420 + $15 parking fee. - would have been great at $200-250 a night

Comfortable room with effective air conditioning. Pre ordered champagne prior to arrival, but despite 3 attempts to arrange this over 2 days, this simply could never be delivered. Room service hopeless.

The staff was excellent from our early arrival to late departure. They were always happy and accomodating in requests. Only regret is that we did not eat dinner at the Sofitel, we will know better next time

I liked the views I didn't like the room being an hour late. I didn't like the windows shaking in the wind. I didn't like the signature restaurant being closed both nights. I didn't like being charged $30 a day just for Internet considering our room cost $720

It feels old even though its been renovated and it feels like a shopping mall due to the location of the hotel complex. The old fruit was not cleaned out for 3 days We were not called when our room was ready after asking 3 times. We lost a phone reported it at reception, when it was handed in we were not contacted, we actually saw the phone in the reception draw ourselves and noticed it later. Overall not very happy and the communication was poor at reception.

The staff were great. At reception, they offered us $25 pp breakfast - the same breakfast cost $98 at the Sofitel Brisbane. The room was comfortable. We loved the soft bed, doona and pillows. On the Sunday we wanted to check-out all four lifts failed. With some very testy customers he staff did their very best under very trying circumstances.

The reception staff were lovely I paid for a King Superior Room, and got a Queen budget room. No Mini bar and after repeated requests still no mini bar. And 2 days after our stay received a phone call regarding cost of paying for items never delivered! Our bed was so old and unsupportive, there was a big padded overlay to disguise this! Only a bottom sheet, no top sheet as you would expect in a 5 star establishment. My husband and i have stayed at your hotel quite often over the past ten years, and never have we found the quality and comfort so poor. We will look for alternate accommodation on our next trip.

The views are superb. We booked a deluxe sea view room and were upgraded to a suite. Any hotel that offers upgrades will never be marked down in my book! Nothing bad, but the design of the suites is odd. The mini-bar and tea/coffee making kit should really be in lounge and not the bedroom.

Everything was great. The staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. The hotel was close to lots of restaurants and public transport. We loved the decor of the hotel. We had plenty of turning space for the wheelchair in the accessible room. It was very comfortable and cosy. Everything we needed was there. P.S. I was travelling with my 25-year-old daughter who uses a wheelchair for mobility. This category of traveller(s) wasn't an option at the top of this form. I wonder why not?? No other category matched us, so I just chose 'solo traveller' which isn't true. The toilet in the accessible bathroom had a flush button which didn't cut the water off properly. It took several flushes and 'pokes' of the button to finally make it switch off. That was a bit annoying and time- consuming, but as I mentioned it on checking-out, I hope it has been fixed in the meantime.
