There were virtually no services from the hotel staff apart from handing out the key, more like a low end self-service motel. Figured out how to get to the apartment from the car park after some searching. The apartment we were staying must be next to some central plant of the building judging from the noise come through the main bedroom walk in wardrobe. Very poor design.

Staff were absolutely fabulous. Location and transport were good. Had to sign scary contract about kind of behaviour allowed (obvious that there had been some degenerates staying in the past), apartments looked nothing like the photos, apartments clean but grotty, scant information about how to operate things, there were two fleas in the main bed, pillows smelled of cigarette smoke, TV was broken, no forks in cutlery drawer...as far as holidaying in these apartments went, I could have spent most of my time getting staff to fix things. Not the most enjoyable experience.

Location to city is about it. For the money I paid as it was very basic compared to many hotels I stay in for work which I pay between $145 through to $250 and are much better than this one. The tiles in the bathroom look like they are ready to fall off and trying to locate the hotel was not at all easy with poor signange and pokey dead end streets to negotiate. Reception was not located in the same building and we had to drive around the block to get there for check in and out. Wont be returning to this hotel based on price alone.

Only apartment in melbourne within our price range that had 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms for a family of 6. Apartment furniture was not in good condition - needed an upgrade for a 4.5 star hotel. Also parking at the apartment was the same price as the carpark over the road.

Location was nice, space is convenient for large families and kitchen facilities help with keeping costs down...can cook meals to offset high food/restaurant prices in Australia Staff for check-in did not seem to know what they were doing and were not very friendly....however, staff for checkout were of a higher caliber. Also, beds were smaller than those in a Meriton apartment that we stayed in previously and there were no changes of towels each day like the Meriton....not serviced at all. Apartment could use a thorough cleaning and touch up of marks and stains

Good location, great view. Would have bee nice to know that you have to pay $1,000 bond on top of $630 for a 2 night stay?! Should have been explained properly in the booking papers. And also that there's 5-10 working days to get your money back! Also the room we stayed in used the washing machine and it wouldn't drain! Put it in the dryer for an hour - but didn't really dry it much as it was absolutely saturated So it added a few extra kgs to our luggage. Also the shower didn't have an extra screen door so basically there was water everywhere (in the bathroom) after one of us had a shower -which is really quite dangerous and you are only given 2 towels or have to pay extra for new ones... So for basically paying $1,630 in a 4.5 star hotel and having these problems isn't fair at all.

Beautiful location overlooking boardwalk and water plenty of local shopping and dining. Did not have our reservation on our arrival, wanted to charge $1000.00 bond instead of the $200.00 stipulated on website ended up negotiating on $500.00...front of house staff gave us a map to get to parking and local area however did not explain how to get to appartments once parked so we were wondering around for 20 minutes trying to figure it out...perhaps we were supposed to have psychic abilities Staff blamed booking.com for not having reservation however with the rest of or check in experience i tend to think it was THEIR failure!!

fireworks display on Friday night was good. we had fab view from our apartment. The bed was a little lumpy and so we did not have the best nights sleep. Also it was a double think a queen size would be more appropriate for this standard of apt.

close to city, comfort and quite location, well-equipped kitchen and other household utilities. The reception not connected directly to all building. We got broken heater on main room at first night. We must pay extra for cleaning service ($110/day).

Fairly well equpped kitchen. Expected all apartments to be in one building as a stand alone Grand Mercure establishment. However it appears that this is just a banner and the apartments are scattered among five or six apartment towers. So decor and facilities would vary depending on owner. Furniture was of poor quality and badly chipped/marked.

Location was good with easy access to most restaurants and food outlets. Bed configurations did provide annoyance especially as I did have specific requests and this was not obviously taken into account. We asked for some more tea and coffee and this seemed to be a big issue for the staff.

The location and the size of the apartment. The access to the the parking required the driver to get out of the vehicle to swipe the security sensor. There was no tv in the master bedroom and no radio either. On our last day we decided to stay in the apartment but we could not stand the noise of someone drilling or jack hammering in the the building. Also we were receiving several phone calls in the apartment by people looking for some medical center.I Would have thought that incoming calls would have gone through reception. Apparently some of the apartments are privately owned. This should be made known on your website so potential guests will be aware that some apartments are set up to a lesser spec.

Unit 702 had beautiful views. Comfortable living space, comfortable beds. Well furnished living area and kitchen. The girl who originally checked us in was great! I wish I'd taken her name to put to you. 3 bedroom apartment, 3 adult couples, only 2 keys available. This was a big issue for us as we came and went at different times. Not happy to leave key at reception from several points of view. Storage space in bedrooms was poor - 1 bedroom had only 1 little cupboard outside the bedroom, drawer space all but non-existent in all bedrooms: for a 4 night stay, we are in the habit of unpacking. Hanging space was fine (except for above-mentioned cupboard outside the room) but we lived out of our luggage for tops, underwear, shorts etc. This is inconvenient and messy, and the bedrooms are so small. We have had accommodation in Docklands with better amenities for about half the price at the same time of year. Can't answer parts of q4 below because of huge variation.

Excellent location away from noise of the city. Easy, safe access to everything you need, especially with young children. Convenience of free City Tram transport all around the city at the corner of the boardwalk Supermarket, restaurants, shopping all conveniently close Rooms were a nice first impression, up market and trendy Nice layout format for kitchen, living & sleeping areas Safe secure undercover car parking Minimal Kitchen cleaning aids A number of moths had accumulated in the apartment before we had arrived No manual for the use of the appliances We were not fans of the type of showerheads installed in each bathroom Clothes air rack required for washing garments in the laundry. (Clothes dryer is not always eco friendly) Bedheads were frustrating. Pillows slip behind the bed, and I found them to be "clumsy" (Im not sure how else do describe them) Squeaky bathroom door

Comfortable and convenient If a window or deck door was open in the apartment then wind whistled by the main door creating a high pitched sound. This was very audible during the night whenever there was even a small wind blowing. The sound was very annoying and the only remedy was to place a towel along the gap at the base of the door.

Location was great; apartment was spacious and offered what we needed for our stay. The bond policy is a bit outdated and the addition of fees for paying by credit card is ridiculous.

Fantastic Apartment with good views and tram links But.....transferring luggage to the room from the car park is a nightmare, Payment by Cr card incurrs 1.5% charge, $15 car Parking charge, No WiFi. The place is overpriced and the gruesome access is not worth the hassle. A list of "Penalty Applies" notices erywhere.

Location was great for our purpose. Security was excellent Our apartment had a queen and a double bed which wasn't really good for us as we has a couple and an adult male and a young boy. Should have had 2 single beds in the second bedroom

The proximity to shopping and a selection of dining options is great; transport links are excellent as well. Rooms will soon need an upgrade; the apartment lacked adequate number of crockery and utensils for three couples.

The view over the docklands looking toward the city was great. Having a balcony was fantastic for the view and the feeling of fresh air. The free city circle tram is only a short walk. There were restaurants at our doorstep. The iga supermarket was right next door and open until 10pm and a bottle shop in the street also. It was a spacious apartment for us, the kids and the grandparents. Good value for money. Having to walk around the corner from the reception area to the actual tower we were staying in. The reception should be connected directly to all relevant towers. The photo shown on the website wasn't the exact room we stayed in even thought the room was still nice. The bed is the second bedroom was only a double and not very comfortable. There was no robe in the 3rd bedroom.
