closeness to the city centre and nearby palk for our first night in Tasmania, I thought there would have been more choice on the menu for Tasmanian produce |

The staff's attitude and helpfulness. Rooms need updating, while being a bit aged, buffet breakfat should include all kinds of hot beverages, like cappucino also. |

I attended a conference at the hotel - so staying made it extremely easy. The food was great. My room was lovely. The towels were beautiful. I think my bed needed to be replaced. I felt that the mattress gave way when I sat on the side of it. However, when I slept on one side - it was lopsided but when I slept in the middle it was fine. When I checked out I should have mentioned it. My apologies. |

I travel a lot for my work, and I have stayed in some less than satisfactory hotels. I was very pleasantly surprised by the Hotel Grand Chancellor Launceston, its a great hotel in a great location with friendly helpful staff. the view to the car park across the road. |

Staff were fantastic...location is good- central to city and shops. Clean facilites and good atmosphere Modernise rooms I.e plasma or lcd T.V. Mini bar was "limited"...generally would improve offer if the ff&e were more contemporary |

Location. Hot water running out in the morning. Size of the TV. Having to ask to upgrade pillows - good pillows should be a standard. The Hotel could do with an upgrade - especially the antiquated keying system. Street side low floor room - very noisy. |

The location of the hotel. The room service was poor. Meal mix up and 2 hour wait for the meals. The full order did not arrive in the end. |

It is in a good location. On the first night there were a group of very loud young men who talked all night and moved from room to room. If there is a group of young men they will make noise (we all know that!) so they should be booked away from other clients. We were moved the next night and the staff were very responsive but were exhausted as a result of disturbed sleep. |

Close to the city The room was 'non smoking' but had a cigarette stench about it - the curtains and bed coverings needed to be laundered to remove the smell. |

Proximity to centre of town and beautiful parks. Service at restaurant was lacking. eg. Had to go in search of tea/coffee. Staff could have been more attentive. |

Locality to city and sporting facilities, availability of lounge and restaurant to be able to get food and drink for supper after a hectic day. Yes there was a function on the Saturday night and the band and guests woke us up at 1am Sunday and the noise went on until 3.00am then we heard loud guests yelling in the hall way and was worried they may knock on our door. We were staying at the hotel to get a good nite sleep as we were playing basketball in the Tourns pre match and had early training the next day and needed our sleep,. |

Plenty of parking Decor is a little tired and old. Charging for parking is ridiculous based on the room rate. Choices on the menu in the restaurant was limited. Breakfast cost was way over the top. |

Nice room. Very nice staff and lobby. Very expensive internet. Ridiculous download limit. Old television. Poor parking as outdoor and a public access car park - unsuitable for a valuable or sports car as not very safe for your car. |

friendly and helpful reception desk staff, large rooms, excellent beds, very pleasant decor, excellent location, good facilities. Although the food was good, the restaurant staff were disorganised, inexperienced and lacked training/ supervision. Would not dine in the restaurant again. |
