power point for electric jug was most inconvenient
Proximity to town centre, laundry facilities, free dryer. Large KS bed, traditional furnishings.
No plug to boil the kettle? Had to place it on the floor of the room! Room next to night club so a bit noisy. Had to pay for parking.
The bed was wonderfully comfortable, the room spacious and the bathroom facilities modern.
Shower over the bath. Awkward cupboard where the tea, coffee etc was stored.
Our room was excellent, the restaurant staff were brilliant with a special thanks to Keith and Stephen.
Helpful staff, handy car park just next door. If we went back to Launceston would be happy to stay there again.
15% service charge for Public Holiday in restaurant. No free Wi-Fi
The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean and the staff were lovely to make sure my 82 year old mum was in a room that was suitable (emailing me before arrival in regards to bathroom requirements)
The curtain in the room was hanging down needed to be reattached to track, looked tatty. The meal in the restaurant even though the flavour was nice the meals were too expensive for the size, also the young guy that was serving us didnt know how to serve properly, was disappointing (passing food over people, when pouring my drink he splashed it out and he didnt even wipe up, so my wine glass was dripping) and I personally dont like paper table cloths. I think if people are paying a good price for a meal you should be given an lovely experience.
Breakfast and dinner was excellent- great choices, well presented, pleased to see wide range of g/f options Service at dinner, our waiter in particular was excellent Room comfortable and spacious
Waitress in restaurant, mouse evening meal was excellent
Inadequate lighting in room. (no ceiling light, just lamps). no suitable power point location for kettle (had to put between beds)
Grand front entrance. Great location, just up from the botanic garden and shops. Large room and bathroom.Very comfortable.
FLOODED MY BATHROOM every day with a shower curtain that somehow let the water leak onto the floor - would suggest glass to replace the old grotty things. Thought the room would be a bit more deluxe than what it was. Numbers on TV remote all rubbed off. Was told 'city views' on this website but got a room overlooking the back car park and entry. Had to pay for parking. No cutlery and was missing a corkscrew.
Breakfast was good
Lift was slow and temperamental
Service and friendliness of staff. Ease of parking availability. Being able to open window of room.
Lounge area too cramped and impersonal. Ground floor looking quite worn and weary. Rm 1009 looking very dated and worn. In need of some prints on walls or flowers in passageways.
Grand building indeed
Everything, staff were very good, was a pleasure to stay there.
Nothing except we only had two days could of stopped longer.
Reception desk very friendly and helpful.
I didn't like that on Saturday night we were not able to have the buffet dinner as this had been allocated to a coach group. Surely all guests should have equal service!
Large room. Very comfortable. Staff was pleasant and obliging .
Bathroom needs updating. There was a shower curtain over the bath as opposed to a screen which is preferable I think.
Comfortable room and clean bathroom with a big mirror. Good value for momey. Breakfast is fabulous.
Our meal in the restaurant was the worst we have had in a very long time and the response by the waiter was "well everyone else seems to like it", took our plates and never returned!!
Cleaniness, room was quiet
Bed not soft enough
convenience to CBD
someones car alarm going off every 10 minutes through early hours of morning, drunks walking past & nite club banging on til 3am
I left important folder in hotel, staff phoned our next accom. At Bicheno and left vital info. For us. Will collect folder on Sun.
The tap is really too high. I have to lift my arm to wash. It is hard to use.
Was all good
The staff were helpful and friendly during a very busy event filled time. Comfortable stay. Toiletries supplied are of excellent quality. Food was hearty and tasty.
No bath in the room yet it was advertised as having one on booking although en-suite was fine. Services advertised were not available in executive lounge. Limited menu in the hotel restaurant but great eating places within a block or two.
