The beds were comfy, and the room was generally clean and tidy.
We booked and paid for four people but apart from the beds the room was set up for only two. Glasses, cups, towels etc. Also the fridge made some milk and cream we bought warm overnight and the aircon rattled like a 20 year old wall mount.
Room service was tasty.
The hotel just seemed a bit run down.
One swish basin does not make for 4.5 stars. This is a tired establishment with no imagination.
Pleasant staff and clean and tidy.
Bed was very comfortable and a great size. Great location to be able to walk to dinner etc. Rooms were very spacious.
Standard rooms were very old and dated. The shower was absolutely terrible - almost no pressure and water was on the brink of cold, only luke warm at it's good points.
Great location. Close to city, park. Room is clean.
Good breakfast selection.
Tired room and bathroom.
Great staff, happy to deal with any request. Even allowed me to charge my car overnight in the car park when asked.
Everything about it
My daughter flew us over from WA, they cancelled our room the day we arrived and then put us in a back packers room but we paid for a city view room! Was annoyed but now I know where not to stay
Location is excellent. Front desk staff is great !
Toilet didn't work - had to call for maintenance twice. Was told no one was on site. Buffet breakfast was terrible - food was cold ! Had to pay to park in the hotel's parking lot.
Noisy and ineffective air conditioner
Location, staff and amenities.
There was nothing we did not like.
Honest straightforward service, comfortable lobby for meeting with others, restaurant and bar service good,
Indifferent air conditioning, noisy and a little unyielding.
street noise, noisy guests in the early hours and leaf blower in action around 6.00 am
Room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Room in upper level was quieter. Staff were helpful with places to eat and directions to Tamar river walk. Also helpful meals via room service when my partner arrived very late at night. Would stay here again.
Requested quiet room in booking. First room given was right next to a smelly laundry and adjacent a tin roof with ventilation turbines. On registering disappointment, staff upgraded to very nice room on 5th floor to compensate.
Centrally located to shops and cafes and rooms are reasonably priced
Location and accessibility. Size of room.
Closure of the lounge/bar next to entrance. Parking for guests should be free of charge.
power point for electric jug was most inconvenient
Proximity to town centre, laundry facilities, free dryer. Large KS bed, traditional furnishings.
No plug to boil the kettle? Had to place it on the floor of the room! Room next to night club so a bit noisy. Had to pay for parking.
The bed was wonderfully comfortable, the room spacious and the bathroom facilities modern.
Shower over the bath. Awkward cupboard where the tea, coffee etc was stored.
Our room was excellent, the restaurant staff were brilliant with a special thanks to Keith and Stephen.
Helpful staff, handy car park just next door. If we went back to Launceston would be happy to stay there again.
15% service charge for Public Holiday in restaurant. No free Wi-Fi
The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean and the staff were lovely to make sure my 82 year old mum was in a room that was suitable (emailing me before arrival in regards to bathroom requirements)
The curtain in the room was hanging down needed to be reattached to track, looked tatty. The meal in the restaurant even though the flavour was nice the meals were too expensive for the size, also the young guy that was serving us didnt know how to serve properly, was disappointing (passing food over people, when pouring my drink he splashed it out and he didnt even wipe up, so my wine glass was dripping) and I personally dont like paper table cloths. I think if people are paying a good price for a meal you should be given an lovely experience.
