It was quiet at night and room was very comfortable. Great breakfast.

the bed was like a cloud if i could have put it in my suitcase i would have best night sleep the view was amazing. And it was a lovely touch to be upgraded

For us on a Friday night it was strange to find that not much was open

The room we had has obviously not been upgraded. The ventilation fans outside were very noisy and on a windy night the seals on the window were not sufficient. In other words a very noisy night. Would not recommend the particular room to other travellers.

Location, price, different decor

door bell was flat at 1am when trying to enter the motel.. Stood there for 5 minutes banging on the door trying to get the girl behind the desks attention.. When she finally realised she was quite rude and said " well have you rang the door bell" .. There were no apologies at all!!

The room we booked was excelent however the bedroom backed onto the lift well and was noisey.

The heater at the Hotel entrance. In the end I got what I paid for and I didn't pay very much. You might want to drop the "Grand" from your name until you truly deserve it. The picture of our room was nothing like what the room was really like. A bit like the pictures at McDonald's not looking like any of the food they serve up.

The queenslander pizza needs serious revue. I don't particularly like Queenslanders but they don't deserve to have their name disgraced by affiliating it with the worst pizza I have ever seen or partly eaten. 0/10.

I found the bed uncomfortable Room 1003. The pillow was also too high and I slept with a towel under my head as it was all I could find... I was woken at 0300 by workers across at the river working on the levy. I didnt sleep well consequently. Sorry, Im not usually a complainer but I was not comfortable at your hotel last night. There was a 'We've gone green' pamplet on the bed but the room smelt of chemicals when we first walked in so we left the window open and hence the noise etc.

The bed was very comfortable and the location central.

The room was cold and we had difficulty with the tv control. A number of light bulbs had blown and we thought the decor outdated particularly in the bathroom. It really isn't 'grand' accommodation anymore.

The central location, and the overall look of the hotel

The availability of wines at dinner was completely unacceptable. The receptionist/concierge was abrupt and in my view arrogant.

From the time we stepped in the door we were made welcome by staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The room, the comfort, the restaurant and the location were excellent for our short stay.

Internet not easy to log in. and costly in this day and age.

Great proximity to CBD and shops. Big carpark next door for $6 a day.

No in-room temperature control, which required leaving the window open a little. Unfortunately this let in smoke from heating appliances from surrounding homes.

The location was exceptional for exploring the city with restaurants, James Boags Brewery, design galleries and town only a short walk away.

The room was next to the elevator with the noise throughout the night making it a restless sleep. Some of the shampoos and conditioners were half used having obviously not been replaced by hotel staff.

the beautiful old building was exceptional, the staff were friendly enough.

as this hotel is a 4 star I expected it to be just a little more luxurious. I found it to be no better than a 2 and a half star motel. the beds need to be replaced as they were not very comfortable and please Why Moccona coffee? Also the restaurant was only open by request, should always be open when there are guests staying. Sorry just my opinion.

Staff was stellar... Most helpful & accomodating. Room was spacious.

Room could use updating. Not a big deal but also took awhile to figure out where to swith on heating... It'd be helpful if guests were told beforehand.

It was clean. Central location.

Book superior room with city views, views were the car park, very disappointed. Check the advertising in the lift at the bottom of list it has dual flush, how important is that for a traveller? Also $6.00 a day car park what are we in America

We have enjoyed the stay there basically because we liked everything.
