Plenty of room. Everything you need in an apartment. Great views. Restaurant in hotel was in walking distance . Food & service were excellent .
the bar,the dining room, the area with the fireplace, the upstairs veranda. and a fantastic view. also staff were great.all in all a lovely old vintage hotel in a really nice town. I would recommend it
our room was too small, but next time we would book a waterview room which are much larger, and look very comfortable
Charming Victorian architecture Well situated - short walk to town Helpful staff
At first, our bed and room were not ready. Then we were immediately upgraded . Then there was toilet paper missing, so they sent us up a bottle of champagne! Definitely go for the bigger room with ocean front view. It may be a bit more pricey but the view, the room, and the cockatoos hanging on the big front deck are fabulous! Really top place to stop at on the Great Ocean Road trip.
Spacious room, big bay windows, high ceilings, ocean views, balconies. Dining area spacious and comfortable. Variety in buffet breakfast was good.
Foyer, stairs and hallway smelled a bit stale.
This hotel has spectacular views! The staff was extremely friendly and more than helpful with suggestions of things to do in the area. The restaurant's menu was diverse and the food was delicious. We will definitely stay here again in the future.
As with many older buildings, there is no elevator. Pack on the light side to avoid multiple trips up and down the stairs.
Lovely large room & very comfortable. We received an upgrade which was great.
Not sure. Menu a little expensive.
Great location and view, friendly staff.
Location, view from balcony, nice apartment, comfy beds.
BBQ was rusty. Dishwasher useless. Could do with a few more utensils.
cheerfulness of younger staff
Poor customer service from older staff Unable to watch crows versus Hawks on a Friday night in the lounge area because we were told preference was for dinner guests. Our TV in the room was about 12inches square. The room was very tiny and only just fitted a double bed. Felt like a shoe box. Went to another hotel and sat comfortably and watched the footy.
Easy to find, good restaurant, friendly staff & great views!
View, friendly and helpful staff
wi fi not consistant- signal kept dropping ...
very small room, only a bed not even a chair to sit on
The apartments were very generous in size. The staff were very helpful and friendly in the hotel reception and in the restaurant. The food was also good.
Only stair access, but having said that we were aware of this at the time of booking.
We were upgraded to a sea view room with no problem. The staff were so friendly and nothing was a problem. Amazing place and will be gong back
The inside tables at the restaurant only having a vase of flowers between you and the diners on the other side of the old windows. Didn't need to know their marriage problems
Friendly staff, upgraded room, great view
I liked the old world charm yet the modern facilities. Stayed in the old original hotel front king spa room.... Lovely. Staff courteous, welcoming and helpful.
All the stairs to climb with luggage !!!!!! Parking a little challenging went function is on at hotel.
Easy to find location
Power points in room for charging devices could be more numerous
We got a corner room, which ended up to have the most amazing view. We woke up at 7:30, with the sunset over the jetty. AMAZING!
The bathroom was riddiculously small
Was upgraded to a nicer room. Loved the history and the balcony. Quiet and beautiful views.
Thought the hotel needed a bit of tlc. A bit tired. Restaurant for lunch was disappointing.
The staff were very friendly. Lovely old building.
The room we had was extremely small and not enough space for luggage. there was no option but to sit on bed to read. The dining room was extremely noisy.
Fantastic location in a heritage hotel. The bed was very comfortable, and the view over the ocean was spectacular. The staff were very helpful and friendly, but some in the restaurant were slightly overly attentive. Would stay again anytime.
Staying on the top floor without any lift was a strain with luggage. The staff did offer to carry bags up though.
No free wifi. Include it in the price of room if necessary, but don't make it hard
Expansive room. Great facilities. Wonderful restaurant. Ideal location
Kitchen tap dripping. Ensuite toilet wouldn't flush properly
