Breakfast good. Manager nice. Location good.
Next to a noisy hotel. No outside vision.Windows were frosted. Smaller than expected unit.
Guests who stayed on the same floor made a lot of noise, banging the doors. We could even heard their snore too.
The location was halfway between my work and the bars and eateries at the dock. Ten minutes walk to the dock, and even closer to some nice spots for breakfast.
Advertised continental breakfast is a choice of cornflakes, rice bubbles or wheatbix with instant coffee. Rooms are entirely tiled and walls paper thin so any noise anywhere else means no sleep. There is no chair to be able to sit and work in the room. Any wind seemed to be channelled into the AC/Heater which howled.
Close enough to town to walk everywhere The one staff member pleasant, but appeared over-worked, consequently un-professional
On arrival, phone a number to gain access, then wait No fire-escape Particularly small small room Nowhere to sit in room except bed Telephone didn't work Reception un-manned Room facilities inadequate No chair, tissues, radio, teabags, etc Parking difficult Wifi only in foyer Downstairs toilet shoddy, no hand towel Incomplete table settings Water off the boil No serviettes at breakfast
The Manager/Host was very welcoming ,pleasant and she would help in any way she could to make our stay more enjoyable
The room was a bit tight but value for money you cannot have everything
Good location, very comfortable bed, had everything I needed in room
No lift, steep stairs, having to ring a number when I arrived to gain access
advertisement made me think that wifi was included.
Jacqui was an excellent host and incredibly friendly. The location of Harringtons was brilliant for access everywhere we travelled. The venue was very clean and the bed was so comfortable.
The stairs! But only because we were so unfit!
The location was good. Room was quiet.
No one there to book me in, note on door to call phone number. Waited 20mins for person to arrive! No lift, had to carry bags up narrow stairs. Room was like an ice chamber and took ages to warm up. No hair dryer or shower cap provided. Breakfast only served between 8 and 9. Staff member gave me some bread and jam the night before to eat in my room, but no toaster provided. About the worst hotel I have every stayed in, never again!
all the wires to telly
clean and staff was great
Very quite, free breakfast and Wi-fi
no carpet in the rooms, makes the floor very cold. The Wi-fi is not working in rooms
No maintenance done and no efpos or cash change offered.
well presented rooms, neat and tidy. Friendly front of house staff great options for breakfast
lack of WIFI in the suite.
too much light in the room, no curtains and hallway light shines through door gaps
Price Location Own Key Facilities Privacy
Noice Attracts unruly occupants Pub next door Noisy staircase door No staff on the desk No wifi information provided
Convenience helpful staff
Heating inadvertantly turned off in the middle of winter in Hobart, but problem was quickly resolved
The people were friendly but not well supplied with info for visitors. Good bed and shower.
No info for tourists re local area (poor, small, badly copied map). Very noisy. Very draughty and dusty. Had to ask for a blanket, teatowel, glasses, plates, globe, . Very little space. Poorly heated -I had it up to 28 deg C but it was barely warm.
A large double bed and an air conditioner/heater with large screen LCD TV
When I first arrived, the old lady at the counter asked first of all for my money. The ground floor was decent and OK. But, my room in a cramped corner on 3rd floor (despite other empty rooms) is a tiny prison-cell with opaque windows. No WiFi on third floor, No hot shower at night, No staff at night and worst of all, No refund. There was a horrible breakfast, dim-lit corridors and a winding staircase, just like a miniature replica of H.H.Holmes's Murder Castle. Though I am quite skeptical, I could hear banging on doors all throughout the night. Whether it might be due to human or paranormal presence, I did not have a sound sleep in 4 terrible nights at Horror-ington 102.
simplicity of the hotel
no phone no mugs and glasses not enough toiletries
Rooms clean Location Price Quality
No Wifi in room No lift to top floor
Staff were very helpful
No vegemite for my toast!
This was great value for money, and fitted our expectations in all respects. It certainly doesn't deserve the bad reviews that we read before hand.
Okay so wi-fi didn't work all that well in the room but the staff told us that when we checked in, and it did work in the lobby. No big deal.
Quiet & private Has all the basic requirements of a hotel (tea & coffee, bathroom, TV)
Lack of floor coverings (floors are tile, they need rugs). Lack of bedding (sheets & a bedspread, no blanket or quilt). Heating didn't seem to work (it make noises & moved, but no heat came out). Lack of information about check out time, breakfast and other basic information.
Location was good. Easy walking distance to lots of places.
The advertised free wi-fi was only in the lobby, I would not have chosen this place if I knew I could not have wi-fi in my room. There were not enough blankets and the staff were never available meaning I had to have the heater on all night just to stay warm. Bathroom did not even have a toilet role holder.
