Convinet to city, small but comfortable. Was only staying overnight.
They bathroom had a revolting smell. I don't know if it was ventilation problem or drainage problem.
No Parking, no lift to room and I was on second floor! Did not like anything about my stay here. I am sure students wont mind it though.
Room without proper windows, very small, poorly sound isolated.
I would say the only really positive point would be the location, very central to the city.
Where do we start? We had to wait around 10 to 15 minutes for the lady to arrive to let us into the apartment. The apartment was very small and very run down. There was a hole in the bathroom door, which looked like a fist hole. The middle centre glass panel of the shower screen was missing totally. The toilet did not flush properly, the water would rise up and then the paper and waste would swirl around, and mostly not go down. There was also a fowl smell coming from the ensuite/bathroom, drain hole. There was no cups to have a cuppa, the lady provided these later. The Breakfast was very poor and cheap, nothing much to enjoy here, cheap cereal, white thin bread, cheap juice, pretty much a waste of money. Television reception was also dodgy. Overall we were very dissapointed and would never recommend Harringtons to any traveller.Unfortunately we had booked for 2 nights, 1 would have been bad enough but 2, very annoying.
Good location. Good haveing private bathroom and tv in room
Room a title small. Could b a little cheaper for size of small rooms.
I liked the family room. Good space and layout.
Our room said it had a hairdryer so I didn't think to check for one because it should have already been there. I had a shower at 7pm and I called the staff because I didn't have a hairdryer in my room. They were mad at me and said I should have asked for one earlier that day. They said they won't be back until 9pm. Also there were placemats in the room but no plates or cups. Only 2 towels for a family room sleeping 4 people and there is a major language barrier between the staff and Aussies. They are really aggressive.
Poor service. Security could be better.
Good value with no frills. Bed excellent..
No parking. No lift
I loved the location, what contact I had with the staff, great.
No cups etc. in the kitchen Breakfast only after 8am A rug on the floor would have been great. Christmas cheer, non existent
We stated In two different rooms. Both falling apart. Sunlight in room by 530 am noise all night from club across road. wouldn't stay again
Our room had no curtains, no sink plug and no glasses. Very disappointing not to have curtains in a room.
Irish pub was 2 doors away and noise was continuous for most of the night. It was still going when I fell asleep at 3.30am
Lack of Wi Fi (If it was available they didn't advertise the fact to customers)
Location. Clean bed linen.
Broken shower screen. Noise from next room. Bizarre power outlet. Lack of bedside table. No elevator. Total shabbiness and lack of maintenance.
The 25 minute wait to be let into the building at check-in. The shower door coming off in my hand! The loose shelf in the shower, put something on it and it falls forward. Very cold room, no glasses, empty refrigerator, had to ask for milk. Noisy location.
The location and all the facilities were fine.
The room I stayed in had no window I could open - prospective guests need to be advised of this as if I'd known I may not have selected this type of room.
The space and set out was good, location was very central, bed and sleeping area good, dinning table handy.
The drain in the bathroom was smelly, showerhead didn't stay up without a lot of messing around,no hairdryer!!!! There was 2 cups,1 plate,1 teaspoon and 6 placemats?there was a leg missing off one of the beds, electrical dangerous.
Looks like a Hotel in trouble. Bathroom: loose fittings, or lack of, ... missing towel rail and door on shower. Lights out in common areas and lights not replaced in hallway. Would rather have stayed at Richmond another night for little more and no threat of a parking ticket! Can't rememberif wi-fi available.
Excellent value at $160 per night. We booked a family room which was huge and divided up into smaller areas, so more like an apartment really. Helpful and friendly staff. Great location, central for everything and particularly convenient for the conference we were attending which was just round the corner at the Odeon Theatre. Excellent Indian restaurant just over the road.
No where to hang your clothes – a simple clothes rack wouldn't go amiss rather than just 3 hooks on the wall (especially as space is no issue), but we were given a few coat hangers when we asked for some! No extractor fan in bathroom and the toilet plumbing was extremely noisy.
The bed was quite comfy.
The pillows were like sleeping on a block of cement. Nobody was there to let us in at check in, leaving us to wait outside for almost 30 minutes while she arrived. The shower screen only had 2 panels instead of 3, which made shower time quite cold. The bathroom needed some tlc in general. The toilet roll holder was broken which left the roll itself sitting on the floor. There was no towel rail to hang wet towels. Room was not made up during visit of 2 nights. The room itself was very noisy. You could hear people walking in and out of the hallway and every conversation. There was a nightclub on the corner which didn't stop it's music until at least 5am.
no staff, recpetion was not staffed for the duration of my stay (4 days). the breakfast was supposed to be included but never eventuated. I suspected that the place was actually a brothel as taxis were reluctant to come.
Location to the city. Cheao.
No Lift. No curtains on the windows (which were not clear glass) which meant at 5.30 a.m. the room was full of daylight. Room not serviced. Did not take any cards other that Visa or MasterCard.
Position of Harringtons was good. Receptionist was lovely, cheerful and helpful. Very comfortable bed.
Lots of stairs. Poor maintenance - esp bathroom, towel rails fallen off, toilet roll holder fallen off, fan not working, light not working. Could not see out of window (glass bricks) Wi Fi only available in lobby
Our booking objective for our group of 8 was to be able to walk to the Salamanca area for dinner from our hotel - which we did.
No windows to open, no soap or accessories in bathroom. Shower door was broken. There were tea and coffee satchels but no jug to boil water. We looked at breakfast and skipped it. Pretty unattractive and uninviting.
