Old heritage building on acreage. Our stay in the stables was very comfortable and peaceful. Lovely to wander the gardens and imagine living this lifestyle in the olden days!

The house and gardens are beautiful and in a lovely position close to the beach. We loved the decor, especially in the bedroom. Although we only had breakfast the quality of the food was excellent. The staff were exceptionally helpful. We really wished we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful old building surrounded by beautiful grounds and just meters from the beach, which we had almost to ourselves. The room was beautiful, comfortable and the view great. The candle lit dining room made the delicious and beautifully presented dinner, with a good wine to match, a pleasant experience.

We enjoyed everything in the beautiful historical house. We only regret not having the time to spend several days. very very cool!

They would nt serve u breakfast although paid for - rooms are below standard. No internet. Staff very tired.

Everything - amenities, meals, location, and particularly the owners, Sophie and Melissa, who madeus feel very welcome and comfortable during our short stay.

Our stay wasn't long enough. We will be back!

This historical house has been really well configured to provide a place with character to stay. As soon as you arrive, the house provides you with a warm feeling. The staff is great and will make you feel at home, literally.

Probably the fact that once you leave the place, it will be hard to find an other one that can match the setting.

In the same family for 3 generations and offering dinner,bed and breakfast, this house and the siblings running it made us feeling completely "at home". Their warmth, their love of and pride in their property ,their vineyard, their garden were contagious. Fire in the chimney, asparagus and chervil fresh from the garden on the plate, view over the garden and the pond towards the bay, this is one of those magical place you remember for ever.

We enjoyed the welcome from Sophie who gave us a tour of the house and lit a big fire for us to sit by in the evening. Our room was slightly overfurnished but was comfortable. A very enjoyable breakfast the next day.

Anything we didn't like was due to the staff not being aware, E.G. our electric blanket didn't work (on a very cold night) and the lighting was poor outside the stable area where we were staying also not bright enough for reading in the lounge. Both these things would be remedied easily. We enjoyed our overnight visit and would like to visit Hawley House again during better weather so we would be able to appreciate the beautiful garden..

Great place, location good for short stays. Staff very helpful and friendly and rooms etc very good. Grounds/gardens and beach really good to walk around.

Hawley House is rundown and in winter without central heating it would be a cold place to stay

Excellent food, friendly service and clean rooms

I had the best night's sleep in a most comfortable bed and the pillow was just right too!

Would like to have had another night at least.

Friendly, helpful staff determined to make our stay enjoyable, comfortable rooms, a house with character and a touch of old fashion class, excellent food, lovely setting, very private.

Very picturesque surroundings and the building has a lot of history. The owners are friendly and great hosts and the accommodation interesting and comfortable.

We arrived at night and the place is a little hard to find, even with the help of gps.
