The front desk staff were amazing; very friendly and helpful. They even dropped us back at the airport for no extra cost. Lots of advice and local tips. They really made our trip super relaxing and easy. Excellent value for money. Nothing not to like about this place.

This is such a friendly hotel and the staff were so helpful it was a pleasure to stay there. Our room was pretty standard but good enough and very clean. About ten minutes walk into town which was far enough out to be quiet and peaceful from the night life.Loved the local connection to Papua New Guinea and the artwork at the hotel. Rosemary arranged a boat trip to the Great Barrier Reef with Compass Cruises which was a fantastic day and great value Nothing really- would definitely stay there again if we are up in Cairns

The location of the hotel is good with a short 10min stroll to the esplanade. The hotel is very clean and the Manager is extremely hospitable and bends over backwards to help in any way she can. Overall, an excellent stay and highly recommended to anyone looking to stay in Cairns. Our first time in Cairns so there really wasn't anything we didn't like. Weather was the only let down and even then, it wasn't too bad.

Rosemary, the manager, couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. She ran us to the train station, offered to take us another destination and obviously did the same for all guests. Her colleague on the front desk was also friendly & helpful No shower cap.

The staff were incredibly friendly, and they helped us to make the most of our 4 nights in the Cairns area. Nothing was too much trouble and they advised us the best things to do with our time and booked us some very good deals. The room was very nice, a reasonable size and had a little balcony for drying towels. The breakfast room was a bit gloomy but provided a simple meal which was quite enough.

Clean and comfortable hotel in good location. My daughter missed her flight and arrived distressed back at the hotel where I was still staying. Rosemary, the Manager, couldn't have been more helpful then and helped in other situations. Lovely lady.

Though it's location is quite central, our room was lovely and quiet. No need for ear plugs! The air-conditioner. It was old and noisy. Some re-vamp needed there.

The Tropical Heritage Cairns was an outstanding hotel for our family of four. We stayed there 6 nights in late December 2012. It was reasonably priced and in a great location. However, the best part was the incredible staff. They gave super advice on tourist sites--with an aim to save us money, not promote a particular company. We stayed over Christmas and they helped provide all the necessities for our Christmas BBQ. We have traveled a great deal and this was one of the very best family hotels we have stayed in. This is also a great place if you are traveling alone or with a friend/spouse. Nothing to note here!

I liked everything. I was travelling with my 17 year old son and was upgraded to a larger room with a separate bedroom to my son's. It also had a second flat screen television in the bedroom. The kitchenette was handy to make an easy breakfast and keep milk and fruit in the fridge. You could also purchase breakfast for under $10 each. Cleanliness is a priority for me and everything was spotless. It is a lovely hotel with New Guinea artefacts and some original paintings which is a change to see some uniqueness in a budget hotel. The manager was so friendly and was more than happy to arrange any transfers or trips for us. It is in an excellent location and was only a short walk to the esplanade or bus stop to catch the sunbus to Palm Cove or the other beaches. I am not a fan of the huge impersonal hotels so Heritage Cairns was perfect for us. Nothing. It suited me perfectly.

everything the room was on the ground floor with a small terrace that was shielded from the car park by shrubs and trees with birds coming and going. The continental breakfast was worth every cent such a good selection of food its location is exactly what we like short walk into town for dinner or in opposite direction for great pub food. This hotel/motel is an oasis of calm in a very busy city. The most important thing this hotel has is the manager Rosemary she pulls out all the stops to make your stay enjoyable nothing is too much bother. nothing

The staff was extremely helpful and went out of their way to help us. Rosemary, the front desk person, did everything she could to help make our stay as comfortable and pleasurable as possible. The family suite that we had could use a cooktop top in the room. We used the BBQ grill located by the pool to cook things.
