The owners were friendly and helpful, checking in was very easy.
The room was large, comfortable and clean. I didn't have any problem with noise from the highway, partly because I was in the furthest room facing in the other direction, and partly because there was very little traffic, at least that weekend. Hot water in the shower worked fine, and the bed was great, electric blanket was much appreciated! (The heating worked well but I like my bed toasty warm.)
Continental breakfast was provided free with the booking.com package, otherwise it's $5. Clean and well laid out, there was a family feeling.
To my mind a great plus was the owners' two cats, one of whom was very friendly (but not obnoxiously so). As a cat owner and lover they were a wonderful touch and added to my experience, if you hate or are afraid of cats you might feel differently about it. To repeat though, they weren't at all pushy or demanding, just about and happy to be petted.
All in all a nice place to stay at a reasonable price. I originally booked there because Hall's Gap was full, but enjoyed it enough to go back.
I wasn't able to get a good wifi signal in my room. Unfortunately I only mentioned it when checking out, and the owner said there was a booster right above my door and he would check it out. So it could be that was corrected after I left.
