the highfield hotel is a great place to stay if you just wish to stay in the city over night, it is in a conveniant place for adventure and sight seeing in the city. the highfield hotel is not a 5 star place, so do not go there expecting luxury, but for a save place to stay its great. The rooms could use some touch ups, more paint. Toothpaste. |

Centrally located, near railway station, not much interference, reasonable price etc. The room should have at least one wash basin, very clumsy, not much space to keep the dresses, noisy etc. |

Moving to the Springfield hotel, cheaper and better quality service tv did not work, room was to small and the staff could not suggest places to visit... I wanted to know information about night clubs to visit and nobody knew anything.. The springfield Lodge hotel was a different story. If I was to base my vacation on staying on Highfield Hotel I would never vacation in Australia, again. A single room with bathroom cost me $65. |

The location was excellent and price very reasonable. The room did not look anything like the photos on the website. There were no sheets to go underneath the blankets - are the blankets washed after every guest? The window to our room had been left open prior to our check in with the blind pulled down, we did not realise the window was open before going out. While out rain had soaked the bed and blanket and pillow to unusable condition. |

the hotel staff were nice and welcoming, albeit a little overwhelmed; the highfield offered free internet usage (not the fastest connection, but very convenient for late-night check-ins needing to access the internet for next-day bookings, etc.) |

It was the worst hotel I have ever been. The room were small, and really dirty. There was even a huge dead spider smashed again the wall!!! We booked for a two bed room but there were bed shits for only one bed. The common facilities were not better. |

The convenience of the location. The staff were pleasant but did not seem to understand my concern aboiut having to give my credit card details oer the internet.this seems to be standard practice these days but opens the way for hackers to access these details. Also I do not like unisex showers and toilets as they were on the 4th floor |

The location is good, near the train station. Toilet/shower rooms shared , have to walk down the hallway - Inconvenient if travelling with small children. I would recommend this hotel for young travellers, but not to those travelling with children / elderly people. |

my room has a refrigerator(also there is one in public kitchen )so that's good if you prepare food for yourself.and there is a washstand and mirror also in the room.so I can clean my face in my own room.and this hotel is gay friendly, even the bed of single room is big enough to accomodate two adults! but...see below!!! this hotel lies on a quiet street, but sound-proof of the room is not that good. if your neighbour is a party animal that will be bad( anyway you can call the police). So do remember don't have too wild sex in your room with your boy/girl friend!!!becareful the ears on the otherside of the room!!! |
