Hilltop on Tamborine

Lovely welcome and helpful in finding a venue for a meal. Being unfamiliar with the area we were given a list of restaurants to choice from which was helpful

Unfortunately no tv which was surprising in the room and a very small room. The weather was very exceptional with heavy rain and winds which had a tree bashing on the roof with severe gusts of winds. We left at 7:20am and no means of offically checking out.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, they went above and beyond the normal range of duties, even supplying a tie to my son-in-law to wear to a family wedding, as he had forgotten to take one.

It would be useful to have tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. An older member of our group would have liked a late night cuppa. The resort did give us complimentry coffee on arrival, but there was no opportunity to have a late night tea/coffee.

Hosts were very welcoming, dinner wasnt available, but breakfast and snack plates were excellent. Interesting as well as there was a craft display on at the time. Lovely views looking toward the Gold Coast

The fact that the listing didnt show two different options of accomodation. The cheaper one was cabin style without t.v. or teamaking facilities and it was very cold. The ancient airconditioner couldnt be left on as it made so much noise. The rooms in the main house looked lovely would have preferred to pay extra for the comfort.

We loved the veiws, the staff/owners were lovely, the food was great and would definitly reccomend the whole experience to family and friens

When we initially walked into the hotel it wasn't obvious who was working there or where we needed to go. It was a bit weird having to wander into the kitchen to find staff. Perhaps a reception desk with a doorbell might be helpful for guests.

The owners were extremely helpful, friendly and generous. Dinner was great. View from main building balcony was beautiful.

We found our cabin a bit cramped and rather basic so were glad it was for only one night, however the great service compensated for that.

The staff were very friendly and the breakfasts were lovely (not included). Great quiet location which was handy for the Gold Coast theme parks and local walks.

The room was small with no storage for clothes. One small coat rack to hang your clothes. No where to dry wet items E.G. swimmers. Everytime someone walked in the adjoining room the whole cabin shook! No fridge or kettle in the rooms: we had to pay for a cup of tea in the cafe during the day (free at night). We booked this place for the view from the deck: it was closed for renovations (over the Christmas period) and probably won't be open again until February.

The couple running the hilltop were lovely and keen to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. It was a shame we only stayed for one night as we didn't have time to enjoy the views and outside terrace as much as we would have liked.

We paid extra for the room with the spa and think this was a bit overpriced for what you get. Also the bed was very squeeky!
