Almost everything. what a fantastic hotel

the bathroom fogged up after every shower

Everything. We were upgarded without it being requested so that we had a quiet room. Reception staff were excellent as was the assitance given from the tours desk and the restaurant. Clean modern rooms; very well appointed. Excellent restaurant and pool. I would thoroughly recomment this Hilton.

The tiles on the pavement on the slopping driveway were extremely slippery when it rained. There were no signs to warn of this and I fell heavily and hurt my arm and side. It was witnessed by a young man employed by the Hilton who immediately came to my aid.

Pretty Friendly

Our room tea table area full of tiny little ants. I killed 25 of them on eht first day. When I lodge a complaint at the reception. The girls said to us--this is a tropicalplace, it is common. The ants appeared the same even in the bath room. We have to stuffed with it. It was not very good at all. We were not impressed. I doubt it any thing was done to sort out the problem.

around 4:30 PM could see thousands of bats flying over the pool. One of the bats actually dived into the pool ! was a bit scary

There were unpleasant smell I guess it was came out from the air-conditioning system. We told the reception the next morning when we went out for a tour and when we got back it was still the same. Whether or not they tried to fix it we didn't know.

I liked everything about the hotel and I liked the hospitality given since the minute I set foot at the hotel

Could have stayed longer.

Location is excellent, close to pier so can catch the boats to the Great Barrier Reef.

Getting old but still adequate.

The Quality of furnishings in the room were excellent. Pillows especially were very nice. The staff were very attentive and polite. Exactly what you expect at a 5 star hotel. I will be visiting again with my partner this time. Thank-you

Locations good - oppersite the esplanade so lots of restaurants nearby. The cleanest bathroom ever- no funny smells!

Don't like the fact that free wifi is only available in lobby area.

Very professional front desk. We were upgraded to king spa suite which was lovely ... Fabulous view and the most comfortable bed a hotel could offer.

Most of the room was very clean, but the glass separating the spa and the room had some 'interesting' prints (not fingers) on it when you looked from a certain angle. Suggest cleaning both sides of the glass. Walkway and driveway outside lobby extremely slippery when wet. There were signs, but still slipped and twisted ankle.

Location in close proximity to CBD and harbour. Spacious room, balcony with harbour view.

Internet connection in my room was not functioning!

comfortable location to ferry, esplanade swimming pool, and downtown. with great tour information service at lobby for hotel guests.(free booking fee) also pleased with the breakfast(room serviced at no extra charge!) hotel swimming pool was so nice and beautiful.

I enjoyed the stay however it seems I have been charged twice. Once by booking.com and then again by Hilton Cairns. Can someone contact me regarding this on 0432247867

I thought the spa bath was bigger. I didnt like your food at breakfast. I didn't like that the staff at the front desk didn't know if I had paid on Booking.com or not, so I was asked if I had a mobile phone to access the internet to send a copy of the email I had received when I booked online. I answered no then I was asked to use your computer to do this. Considering when I checked in I had given the young girl 2 x copies of my print outs and yet when it came to check out they couldn't find them and it took 15 minutes to check out.

The views form the Hilton were beautiful, the bed was big and very comfortable

The blind in the room broke and fell on my head and part of the spa was broken and full of old yuk water and slimy stuff and the room was really to hot to sleep and you couldnt turn the air con down and there was only a think donna in the room

Cairns Hilton is rated at 5 stars but is not quite at that standard. We have stayed at the Pullman Reef Casino many times and no hotel in Cairns is quite at the same standard - IMO, the best hotel in Cairns & only true 5 star hotel. First of all, parking and internet are charged at a premium rate. No breakfast included in the cost, no free newspaper - room only. Small touches and attention to detail are lacking. One red and one white wine glass in the king size spa room, not 2 of each glass (?). No napkins, the bathroom design is awkward. Bed was hard and uncomfortable, pillows were the feather filled variety that squish down to 2cm in thickness under your head. Staff came across as though they were tolerating us rather than being warm, friendly or hospitable.

The service remains a problem. Whilst everyone was friendly we had dinner at the restaurant and did not get the meals we ordered and there was great confusion over this - we never got an apology or an explanation. We were also due a 20 percent discount on the food and beverage which was not taken off the bill until I raised it with reception the next day. Again, this was missed by the staff. I really think the Hilton is meant to be better than this. Other then that we did enjoy our stay.

If Wifi was free in public areas why not in our rooms? Very busy and sometimes very noisy public areas due to large parties staying at the time. A bit hit and miss re the times for our room clean. Sometimes it was very late in the day when you were wanting to relax in your room after being out and about for the morning. Also, twice we had to ring and ask for a service to be done as we seemed to have been missed. We extended our stay so I don't think the message that we were still there actually got through.

Central location with above Australian average room facilities and services

1. Parking- to be told the valet parking would be necessary and we would be charged $15 per day, then to self park and find the parking (weekend) was advertised at $9, leaves a sour taste. Customers never like to feel they are being ripped off, no matter how small the amount). Full marks to service desk who handled my complaint very well. 2. The goldfish bowl- a voyeur's delight! We did have a nice view of the harbour as well as all the well lit rooms in the building diagonally opposite. Of course, we reciprocated so they would have something to watch other than boring reality television.

Great location near marina and also restaurants & shopping. Ok value if you're getting a good deal on the rates.

Lack of attention to detail - expected in a 5 star chain. ( Lights not working in bathroom, no information about Cairns in the room, nothing to read other than hotel services guide ). Breakfast- not enough staff. Plates piled up on the table and not cleared, surely they know how a buffet works.
