Hilton On The Park - Melbourne

The view was amazing, MCG, Rod laver and the city Buffet breakfast was great, lots of value and well worth the money

Our room was double booked, we arrived to the room and someone elses lugguage was there. The mini bar was not stocked. Room service drinks, were flat. No extra blankets provided to room, only one thin donner provided.

Location & the bed.

No chocolate bar as advertised, no newspaper, breakfast was disgusting I.E.fried eggs were greasy, sausages were rock hard & the coffee tasted like dishwater. We were prepared to overlook all that because the bed was magnificent, but when we got stuck in the elevator for 35mins causing me to miss my appointment, that was the last straw,a staff member took our billing invoice & told us that we would be compensated somehow. Guess what, thinking we may get a rebate of $100+, no, we get offered a free upgrade to a relaxation suite at a future stay. Well that wont happen because we would much prefer a monetary compensation, hence our circle of friends will be informed & warned about staying at the Hilton.

Room, location, facilities.

Reception staff tried to overcharge me for breakfast which was included and I had to prove that with a copy of my booking.

Unlike many hotels, we always enjoy using the facility of the very large lounge space for meetings and work.

The staff were excellent, made us laugh. The location to Rod Laver Arena is excellent....the reason for our trip.

Booked on line a large room with 2 x Queen size beds to have the 5 star, flash room experience....ended up with a small room with 2 x single beds. Very dissapointed.

Suites were devine and king bed so soft

The second room I had (after a week away) was a bit shabby. The shower/ bath tap didn't work properly and neither did the bath plug. I was only staying two nights so it wasn't worth asking to move. Also, not the hotels fault but the noise in the corridor and from neighbouring rooms was hideous. A very large family party with too many children who were allowed to rampage around til the small hours. Definitely preferred the fourth floor to the fourteenth.

Going to a concert at Rod Laver Areana we loved the ease of the location. We were also impressed with the comfort of the room and the friendliness/helpfulness of the staff.

The location was brilliant and the staff were really friendly.

As a part of my conversation with the young man who checked us in, I revealed that we were attending to celebrate our 45th Wedding Anniversary - to our great surprise a complimentary drink was sent up to our room. The room was extremely comfortable and very well presented.

Bathroom could use freshening

Loved to executive king suie. Spacious and comfortable and the bathroom was bright and large.

There wasn't anything I didn't like about the hotel

The room was very clean and tidy, although ours was next to the lifts so was a bit noisy. The pool and spa facilities were great and very relaxing.

Great staff. Very easy access to AAMI park to watch the football.

only the bed was comfortable

no hot water in the bath when we first arrived. We had to wait for an engineer to install a new tap. Bath was very old and dirty. Room and corridor also look very old and run down. For a Hilton this place was very ordinary.

I booked and paid for a room with a view which is what I wanted, got a so called upgrade to a room with no real view to speak of.

Friendly staff and we were upgraded to a deluxe suite which was great.

We had 2 single beds pushed together and one bed was higher than the other so it was very unconfortable in the middle of the bed. The parking was too expensive considering we payed $489 for the night. It was $35 from 5pm Sat night til 11am Sun morning! The pool closed too early on Sat night.

Everything. The service, location, facilities as a whole was a great weekend. I made the trip down to Melbourne for the crazy AITS tattoo show n was very pleased by the warm welcome that the hilton staff gave to us " unconventional tattooed folk ". Haha the hotel was immaculate, the rooms classy and spotless to go with the amazing view I had from the 18th floor. Def will be staying with u guys again next time I return to Melbourne.

great location and they made you feel special

It was more than we would normally pay for accomadation but we knew the price so no-one to blame but ourselves.Do you have a loyalty system?

Most of staff very courteous and helpful particularly liked Julia in the restaurant who gave a very personal service

Ordered drinks from lounge bar on arrival. Told sold out of Rococo Champagne offered Prosecco instead yet it was available in the restaurant that evening. On the morning we were leaving I felt dizzy and nauseated after breakfast, particularly when I stood up, phoned front desk to request time to lie down and was told to take my time, not 5 minutes later someone else rang and asked us if we would be down soon to check out. I understand it was a lack of communication but I felt under pressure to get up and leave immediately, we were on the 17th floor so it wasn't easy when you are feeling as if you are going to pass out.
