When the power went off we were given directions on how to fix the problem.

It was difficult with luggage to get up and down the outside stairs to the apartment. Despite booking for 2 nights, there was no milk, tea bags etc, only a jar with some opened coffee sachets. Being on the lower floor meant that we heard every footstep and toilet flush, especially during the night.

Joanne was very helpful in every way possible. The rooms were spacious and the beds and linen very comfortable. The bedroom decor was pretty. The view was spectacular at night and in the morning. Great location to walk to the beach and great local restaurants. Famous pizza shop within walking distance.

The weather was unusually hot and the one fan was inadequate.

The location in Sandy Bay was good because it was close to the water and shops. There was a bit of a view.

The condition of the accommodation. There were spider webs in bathroom and inside the bedroom drawers there was dust. Only one tea towel was provided. The room was serviced after one week but we had to ask for fresh towels. There is a washing machine and dryer but you have to pay for both. I believe that for the price we paid it should be free. It would have been nice to have more tea and coffee and some milk.

It's location is a great base to use for exploring Hobart

    1. The photos are deceptive - it's not really a 1 bedroom apartment. It is a CONVERTED GARAGE. 2. Cleanliness is an issue. The wooden awnings above the curtains were almost black with dust. 3. Perhaps this has something to do with the fact that it's a CONVERTED GARAGE, but the room (because it really is only one large room) was infested with bugs. The first night we were there, we pulled back the bedsheet only to discover a large LIVE spider IN the bed. More spiders in the bathroom - and the next morning I discovered a dead spider surrounded by an absolute infestation of ants. Accommodation provided NO bug spray or any other cleaning supplies to try and take care of this. 4. I would not call this a kitchen, but rather a large kitchenette. There is only a small bar fridge and sink. Correction - there is an oven that looks like it dates back to the 70s (at the earliest) and that I've never seen before, with no instructions on how to use it either. 5. The room shares the same water heater as the larger house that it is connected to. This means that morning showers are somewhat hilarious when the family in the house are getting ready at the same time as you since when the shower in the main house is turned on, the water pressure in the garage bathroom drops to a trickle and becomes quite cold.

Quiet. Good for families or a group of friends. Easy to find.

Location was good - you will find the little brown ants in the kitchen most friendly along with the spiders in the bathroom.

The fact that we booked an apartment and we stayed in a converted 2 space carport. The kitchen and bathroom facilities were clearly an extension of the main apartment next door. This ensured we could be entertained and hear the conversations in the adjoining apartment. Care needed to be taken when showering as both hot and cold water were shared with the next apartment. It is not recommended that you shower when the next apartment is using hot water as your shower will be cold. The fridge (bar fridge) was iced over so the small freezer could not be used. No DVD player as advertised . The walls were joined with clear masking tape - we need to re-visit the definition of patio!!
