The large size of the room. Car park space was very tight for our car, very hard to get out. Some of the staff had a thick accent, very hard to understand.

Room overlooking the Hyde Park, locality in terms of theatre and transport, shops and significant attractions. Staff were not friendly, and they did not know how to communicate. There was supposed to be valet parking but I was the valet. The bathroom did not have an exhaust fan, so it held unpleasant odours and steam too long. The windows were absolutely filthy, spoiling the view of the park. There were city noises all night, with no sound insulation afforded - sirens, buses and traffic were disruptive to sleep all night.

The hotel room was spacious and in a prime location overlooking Hyde Park and the staff were friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast provided was adequate. The Sydney City free 555 green bus stopped practically on the doorstep. The Museum Station was across the street from hotel and the airport train stopped at this station. If travelling alone it would be difficult to handle a large suitcase up the stairs of the station. However during the week there is an escalator access from Liverpool Street. I would stay at this hotel again.

Good location. Breakfast a waste of time, would be a better option not to offer any at all, at least you would not be dissapointed! Better food on the aeroplane!

Location is probably the main thing this place has going for it. The room decor was really dated, though sufficient. My partner claimed the mattress and pillows were pretty hard. The so-called included breakfast was 4 pieces of cling-wrapped bread & boxed cereals + milk delivered to the fridge in the room - not quite what we were expecting for over $200 a night. Location was good however, walking distance to all the main city sights and very close to the train station.

The room was very spacious and comfortable. Very clean. The hotel is just opposite a city rail station and just 5 mins away from the monorail station. Extremely, convenient. Behind the hotel is Liverpool street which is filled with eateries. Fantastic area for food and relaxation. Excellent place. My wife and I always enjoy a buffet breakfast during our holidays but Hyde Park Inn doesn't offer that. They actually offer a simple set of breakfast which is the same everyday. Bread(2 slices), spreads, milk(1 pkt) and juice(1 pkt) for per pax. We missed our good breakfast buffets.

The hotel is in a great location. They have spacious room, with the ability make food in as there was a microwave/plates/etc. There was even a seating and dining area in the room (no balcony though), they also provid cereal, milk, bread, butter, jam, fruit, juice, biscuits and a newspaper daily all complementary.

Rooms were spacious and kitchenette was a very useful facility for snack making Standard room (3rd floor) was tired and brown carpet did nothing to brighten it. Staff did not make us aware of the lounge facility that would have been useful until our room was available given we arrived off an early flight around 9.45 am, Staff do require a customer service refresher and ensure the correct bill is given on leaving !

Having the opportunity to make up the light breakfast in the room was excellent with three older children, definitely helped the budget. The view from the balcony was great, over the park ...and location was great. Coming from Canberra we all noticed the smell of smoke from cigarettes was through the corridors of the hotel. The staff though were not as friendly, supportive or professional as we have experienced at other venues.

Location was excellent with all facilities we needed within walking distance. Price was good for such a central location. Great outlook over Hyde Park. The room had a funny smell I think because of the oven, and the bed was not the most comfortable.
