The convenience of being only a couple of blocks to Queen Street mall, rail and bus stations was great. I was able to get to all my appointments in plenty of time. The grab it 'n' go menu was also very convenient. Upon arrival about 10.45am the receptionist was rather abrupt and couldn't manage a smile, although she did offer to put me in a room early, though hadn't asked for it. Saving grace was the receptionist that I dealt with that evening about 7pm she was lovely, had a smile on her face and nothing was too much bother. Then upon departure unlucky enough to again be served by the first lass, she just couldn't manage a smile........ |

I really appreciate that Ibis follow what I request when made booking, offer me the room on the highest floor with good river view. I think the reception staff during night time is obviously not enough. I went to reception twice, there was only one staff, but long waiting line in front of the counter, at the same time the only one staff even need to answer the ringing phones. |

I liked the 24 hour access, the staff were always attentive and friendly. The location was great for attending the convention centre. Very easy access to taxis There were no balconies |

I liked that the staff at reception were very friendly and that the room was very comfortable. I dislike that the chambermaid knocked on the door before the checkout time. |

The location - close to South Bank, Exhibition Centre. Art Galleries, river, and CBD I was disappointed with the breakfast - no tables cleared of previous people's dishes when we arived, no plates available, food looking very minimal. |

The proximity to the city. Difficult to get to the reception area through the gauntlet of the Mercure. No parking, only at the Mercure with and additional $20. Room was run down. |

The beds are just divine!! After being in a plane for 21 hours it was real luxury to stay in a hotel with nice firm (not too hard) mattresses. The rooms were huge! Brilliantly located in the cbd part of Brisbane for sightseeing and the food was real value for money. The Ibis had some very nice, helpful staff. One of morning receptionists was not particularly helpful when our friend came to look for us, but other than her, everyone else was lovely. |

I was very dissapointed in the fact that you advertised happy hour in the lift, and that was not on, also no room service which was advertised in the room, no restaurant which we chose this hotel for that purpose, as we were on a business trip and wanted to stay in out room for dinner, but we had to pay for taxi and go out for dinner, I know we could have gone next door but that is the same thing we had to go out of our room to get dinner, we heard a number of people complaining regarding about no restaurant and happy hour, if this the case, take your advertising down, surely someone is responsibel for this, and this is very poor service. |

We did not get a bed each on the first night which is what was paid for and confirmed. My Mum and I had to sleep together. The excuse was that booking.com does not pass on any information. This is very poor and not acceptable, It is just lucky I was staying with my mother and not my father for example, for this reason I would never stay again. |

Check in was easy, staff really helpful, room was comfortable The walls were a bit thin. Unfortunately I was there the same weekend as a youth concert in the Botanical Gardens, hence much of the clientel were young adults who liked to party. I was woken up constantly through the night by the comings and goings of my noisy neighbours. I could pretty much hear all of their conversations through the wall. |
