Noise on hallways all night
I decided to leave without staying a night. I was polite and explained that the accommodation was not what I expected. The manager listened to my issues and was professional. It was agreed that my booking would be modified and I would only have to pay for 1 night as a cancellation fee.
Room was very disappointing. The only furniture was a bed and a corner shelve and chair with a TV fixed to the wall above. There were no pictures on walls and just a roller blind on the window. Room did not appear to be very clean - stained carpet and poor standard of paint decoration. I was very disappointed with the standard of the room I was allocated to. I was asked if I wanted to view / change rooms but I decided not to consider this as I just wanted to leave.
Location, staff helpful and courteous
Very basic room facilities/ other guests staying there very noisey and disturbing during the night. Much more like a hostel than a budget hotel.
fire alarm was on at 1 am..
Big comfortable bed. TV. Serves a purpose.
Doors aren't very thick, so alot of noise from corridors.
Location adn the space
Good location, close to everything.
The shower was so annoying. Couldn't wash our hair properly.
value, location, ease to transport
Great location and staff
Room 520 was very noisy as it seemed to be next to some sort of generator room which kept starting up.
The cleanliness, no wardrobe, the cold, the heater noise, the locked window
Very close to the harbour.
Breakfast was bad including the coffee from the machine. Room did not even have a water boiler nor a common kitchen. Can see an air-conditioning system in the room, but cannot operate anything since it is locked by the hotel management. No ventilation window in the room so it was suffocating and cramped up for 4 people to share that very tiny room.
EVERYTHING, WINDOW DID NOT OPEN, NO MICROWAVE, JUG. FELT LIKE I WAS IN A CELL, PROBABLY SMALLER
easy and central
room was not was I was sent on the internet on my booking
Wonderful staff on reception, friendly and very helpful. Location was great. Comfortable bed and own bathroom. Cleanliness was very good. TV in room too. Overall a convenient and economical place to stay in Central Sydney. No kettle in the room, but staff supplied an insulated jug with access to boiling water, as well as foam cups and tea and coffee on request.
Floor was a little slippery and the bed was inclined to skid around when you sat on it . Rather unsettling. I found if you only sat at the foot , then the bed would move into the headboard and not head for a wall a few feet away!
Location good, handy to public transport, shops, restaurants, pubs, night life. Close to city
Very small room, very basic too, not much bigger than a jail cell, and a very noisy air conditioner, sounded like a jumbo jet turbo fan engine winding up every five minutes when the heat inverter cuts in. Main double bed just ok for comfort, but a very basic bed. Upper bunk bed, hard as a rock, may as well sleep on the floor. No clothes storage, no robe or drawers. Window leaked some rain water onto the floor.
Simple and convenient
Lots of street/traffic noise Blinds wouldn't stay down /shut Bed on wheels (3/4 corners) on a laminate floor
It was close to Kings cross area.
Just not so comfortable over all.
The staff were alright. The price was fair.
Too much noise in the middle of the night. Smelly corridors. Quite weird room with a bunk bed in our double room.
The room was cleaned.
This was the most depressing room i ever slept in. The shower curtain was dirty. The window could not close completely so a lot of noice from William street. The curtain could not close because it was broken, so a lot of light in the room. The window was so dirty that you could hardly see through. Even for a budget hotel, it was not good. I will never go back to Ibis Budget.
It was located very close to the Kings Cross Hotel where we were heading hence we booked there
Light was terrible, unclean, awful pillows and mattresses, dirty marks all over the wall. Only book here if desperate!
i liked that the beds were comfy. there was a bathroom with shower. a tv and an alarm to wake up before check out time. there was powerpoints, a bin, plenty of towels and blankets to keep us warm at night.
there was nothing i didn't like it was a great room and I'll definitely be coming back.
Very dirty Poor facilities
Too loud and curtain wouldn't close
