The bed ,better than crown in melbourne The lights magical Location ,location Dryer and washing machine heavy duty No key entry Furniture comfortable and modern Spa and bathroom tick Pictures decore stunning
Parking not very well signed Not enough milk in fridge for cereal for two Stairs no lifts
Loved the spacious clean room and bathroom facilities. Very comfortable. Staff were pleasant, courteous and helpful.
Arrangements for access rather complicated and having no lift made entry difficult ,especially, for older visitors
Free Wifi No Floral or lace! Modern décor Friendly staff Really comfortable bed Items for in-room dining Large dining table Comfortable lounge Artwork in reception
Noise from the street in the morning No Foxtel Poor lightning in the bathroom for putting on make up Coat hangers that they think you will steal if not bolted down Paying for plunger coffee
Loads of style: double shower, massive bed. Largest hotel room experienced out of 14 we stayed at across Tassie. Cheap mini-bar prices ($4 UDLs and beers), very comfortable, helpful and friendly staff.
Only minor; it included continental breakfast but would have liked some toast, juice and more milk to go with yoghurt/cereal/porridge offered.
This is a superb hotel - classy and quiet with the most extraordinary rooms. The owner, Steve, has created a stunner!Central location is ideal and the hotel staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. No lift, but staff will help get your bags up and down the stairs. Check-out was a breeze with Steve helping us pack the car and telling us a bit more about his 'baby'. What a great experience!
Huge room ang big space for my friend and myself. Staff was very friendly and free basic breakfast was provided. 5 mins walk to the beach.
Wifi is a little bit weak, couldn't upload my photos to share with my friends.
Loved the Tempur Bed - It was hands down the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. The rooms were so stylish, spacious and clean, and we were very comfortable. The toilet and the SPA bath was fantastic as well. We absolutely loved this place for our honeymoon
Nothing no complain about, except maybe the need to climb stairs to access the hotel and rooms. Not handicap friendly, but for us (a young couple) it wasn't too difficult.
- great appartment with all comodities - walking distance from the penguins observation deck
- poor breakfast - very distant ocean view
The smell of the Pizza restaurant was a little to much b ut the noise did not worry us .A better entrance would help.
Private, extremely comfortable especially the bed and in such a great location. I will be back. It was a lovely place to stay whilst on business. The staff were fantastic, the kitchenette fully equipped, lots of breakfast items included in the price and it really felt opulent and I felt very spoilt!
Despite the room being huge it wasn't set up with the business traveller in mind. My room had a huge dining table and chairs which were great to work off but nowhere near a powerpoint. Not really an issue though - necessity is the mother of invention and next time I will ask for a room better suited for a business traveller.
Girl who checked me in was excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Large spacious rooms .
traffic noise of a night/morning
quiet,clean,comfortable,helpful staff, central location
Size of rooms, comfort of bed, kitchen facilities.
Noise from the street, no restaurant for breakfast (therefore no hot meal), notes left in the bathroom (unnecessary)
Everything was wonderful. Our room was magnificent, huge bathroom, enormous bedroom, dining area and sitting room. All the furnishings were of a very high standard with excellent finishes to all the decor. Secure parking was available, a guest laundry with efficient machines. Centrally located. All in the most beautiful old building that has been lovingly restored.
service of the staff
bed a bit lumpy
With lots of family in Burnie, and hailing from there myself it was lovely to see such a beautiful hotel in the heart of such a small city. Staff were knowledgeable and very friendly. Tastefully renovated with lovely modern french art prints. Very in vogue. Rooms are beautiful and are well appointed. Lovely modern bathroom, huge comfortable bed in an incredibly large bedroom that my soon to be husband and I both wished was our own. Express check-out is fuss free. Great secure parking. In conclusion The Ikon Hotel in Burnie is by far the best accommodation in Burnie. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.
Walking through the restaurant wasn't always ideal, especially at lunch. However not something that should deter anyone from staying at this lovely hotel.
Great finish and presentation
The staff were welcoming, friendly and very helpful. The location of the hotel was great. The WiFi connection was excellent. I would recommend the hotel to others.
The room I had was a bit noisy due to the traffic on the main road (I think it was room 6), additionally I could hear the tv in the room above me, and when the guest moved around I could hear them.
Eclectic furnishing in pretty coastal town. Effective renovation & great French prints.
Walk up 3 flights- not a problem but unexpected
Beautifully appointed room. Very stylish and clean. Perfect! Lovely staff person (young lady). Very helpful and polite.
Breakfast!! If the room comes with breakfast please make it breakfast, with toast and cereal as a minimum. Our breakfast consisted of a few tiny sugary Kellogs cereal boxes, and that is all. A very pleasant stay let down by the so-called breakast.
Location, large room, wifi access, undercover parking, modern facilities
access by stairs only
Loved everything about this hotel. Love the soup, cereals and snacks they leave as well as the deco and comfort.
NOTHING! STAY HERE!!!!
This hotel has had a lot of upbatting. Nice and cofortable and I will recomend to all
The balcony the pub food the bath basically everything
My fault but I had my 83 year old mother with me - so the stairs were a problem - should of checked when booking -
