In the heart of Melbourne, the historic Ibis Styles Melbourne, The Victoria Hotel is a 5-minute walk from the Bourke Street shopping mall and Federation Square.

Enjoy some of the best views in Melbourne from the heated rooftop swimming pool at Hotel Grand Chancellor Melbourne. In the heart of the theater district, it has a choice of 2 restaurants.

Excellent position for The Victoria Markets and within walking distance of Lygon Street and great restaurants . Wonderful staff always on hand extremely informative and nothing was too much trouble, they even made a great coffee .
Unfortunately the hotel was under renovation but considering this no dramatic effects and we look forward to staying once all the renovations are completed, and seeing the new look..
Very clean and comfy room ,it was bigger than expected. Nice details lovely toiletries.comfy bed slept well.so close to everything will stay again
nothing really was not disappointed with anything
Friendly staff Spacious room Good shower Clean
Limited choices of TV channels, and poor reception Lack of breakfast
The rooms are fitted out quite well - the bathroom is very funky. Lovely shampoo and conditioner products.
All the doors to the rooms slam hard - so you can hear people coming back at 1am or leaving at 6am due to the slamming doors. The bathroom doesn't allow much privacy due to the glass sliding door and the louvres. The TV is small and the screen doesn't show the whole movie. The rooms on Elizabeth street are extremely noisy in the middle of the night.
Staff were nice
The noise was awful. There is a building site opposite the hotel and the noise of the generators went on all day and night. The drilling started at 5.30am! The hotel had a bowl of ear plugs on the reception counter! Avoid at all costs. No way is it a 4 star hotel. A backpacker hostel would be 10 times better.
Good location, walking distance from everything. Room was quite large for the price and staff was very helpful when we had to deposit luggage. Very good value for money!
Ground floor area was being refurbished so cafe etc wasn't available (but the room wasn't affected)
Very comfortable bed!
A bit noisy due to renovations
The cleanliness of the room was excellent, loved the fact I couldn't hear very much traffic, as I find hard to sleep in any hotel room, this time I was able too. Yay! The toiletry offerings where fab, nice quality.
The hotel was doing refurb. was a bit confusing on entering the building. But I still would go back & see how the refurbishment went. It looked like it was going to be great.
Proximity to the Victoria Market. Staff were great!
I had not expected so much noise from the street. I had a two night booking and then moved to another hotel and for less money ended up with an apartment! (So perhaps this has also coloured my opinion). The hotel was ongoing renovations but this was not such a problem.
Within walk with victoria market. Many food and stores along the way. Near lygon st full with italian food and cafes. Near melbourne central st. The staff are helpfull esp. Danae and craig.
The cleanliness of the room. They didn't clean the floor and the bathroom floor. Quite lot of dust too.
The bed was very comfortable and the room had a great view of the Vic Market.
The hotel reception was blocked off by hoardings so we had to enter by a small very dusty cafe next door. We were not told about the renovations until check in and you could see a layer of dust on the counters and computer. We checked in at 2 pm and had to put up with 2 hours of concrete cutting and jack hammers directly below our window!! We thought we'd be able to enjoy a well earned sleep in after a busy week at work, but oh no, the builders started again at 7.20 am. No place to have an alchoholic drink, coffee or breakfast. We checked out quick smart.
Comfortable beds Nice sized rooms Good bathrooms Friendly Staff Location is excellent
loud building work at early-ish time in the morning
The staffs were extremely helpful and friendly.
Under construction. If I'd known ahead of time, I would not have stayed there.
I loved the staff and the quality of my room
No notification of works and noise
I love the accessibility. Public transport on doorstep. Car parking across the road. This was my 2nd stay and will stay again. Staff are fabulous. Rooms are spotlessly clean. Queen Vic market doors away. Great value for money, highly recommend.
comfortable funky excellent location
Absolutely brilliant! I was expecting a budget hotel and was blown away when I arrived! Fantastic location, gorgeous, modern facilities, friendly helpful staff; I have found a new place to stay for all my business trips...
The personal was really friendly and helpful when we asked them where to have breakfast. The location is amazing, literally next to Victoria market and you can easily explore the rest of Melbourne CBD by foot from this place. Really good! The room itself was spacious and I liked the design of the coloured glass in the bathroom!
There was not really a comfortable couch or chair in the room, even though there was space to put it! Unfortunately they were upgrading the foyer when we stayed, so the entrance was a bit messy and not as nice as expected!
Just a pity the redevelopment was going on.
Close location to markets, rental cars, free tram, Dracula's theatre restaurant combined with comfortable rooms make Jasper a great place to stay.Despite the renovations, the staff were extremely helpful and cheerful.
It was like livig in a building site.Luckilly we stade on a bank holiday weekend.no resterants or bars were open because of reconstruction, but looks like it will be a good place to stay after Noveber when all work should be complete.Location is good but could do with soundproofing.
24hour reception, very comfortable rooms, great location close to city, market. Friendly helpful staff.
Renovations were happening which so elevator was a bit slow and walls are a bit thin or maybe there were just some loud guests (lol)
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
We were not informed of any construction but we were lucky it was a long weekend and it didn't affect us.
The staff were very friendly
Renovations were happening & I wasn't notified this at time of booking. Also, our shuttle to the airport was booked for pm pick up instead of am
