This was the nicest place - by a long way - we have ever stayed. Our room was huge, beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, and included a well-kitted-out kitchenette. We were very impressed and wished we could have stayed longer.

Loved everything - plenty of space - great value for money -breakfast included. Beautiful bathtub. comfy bed and great lounge area. Felt peaceful and relaxing - the country in the middle of the city.

Location, setting, decor, comfort and friendliness

Lovely old home based B&B. Great location, close to train, shops and University but on a quite side street.

The amount of space I had and the beautiful room. The breakfast was very generous and I loved the bathroom and kitchen area. The bed was really comfy and everything I needed was available. I liked the little touches like the slippers and dressing gowns. Appreciated the fact that I could use the room straight away as I did check in early.

The sofas smelt a bit "blokey" like a man had slept on them. So did the top cover on my bed. Could hear the telephone conversation of the person in the room next to my bed and the music they were playing when I got back the one evening was a bit intrusive. I quite liked it but I could imagine other people being annoyed by it. When I checked out it would have been nice to have it confirmed that my bill was settled and that I received a receipt for the payment. The owner wasn't around only the housekeeper and she didn't seem to know.

The room and bathroom were large and well appointed. The street is quiet. It is in a very convenient location. The breakfast was adequate.

Slight inconsistency in "doing" the room each day, but not a big issue.

Lovely room, plenty of privacy and space. We had the 'Blue room' and it really was special. The bed was large and comfortable. Bathroom spacious and luxurious. Breakfast was sufficient, great yoghurt. Nice having breakfast out on the balcony too. Definitely would stay again when back in Brisbane :)

A larger table outside, to allow more room for breakfast would have been good.

The accommodation was clean, well organised and the staff were extremely helpful, Close to train station, shops and restaurants.

A misunderstanding of the contents of the fridge in our personal kitchen. We had to pay an extra $40.00 after being told by one person that the contents were ours and then being told by the owner that it was hers.

Staying in the apartment suite here after a big flight from Vancouver was a fantastic way to get my bearings. There were breakfast items in the fridge waiting for me each day, and the owners were very helpful and friendly whenever I had concerns. Just a few minutes out the door is a beautiful run along the Brisbane river and there were numerous bus-stops nearby to get me wherever I needed to. Loved the air-conditioned bedroom!

Quiet location, in a mature neighbourhood. A traditional home, full of character.

Self-catering arrangements cramped.
