Kings Perth Hotel  

We were extremely disappointed with our stay.Will never return.Very poor standards we would class this a 1* hotel.

Friendly staff

Needs updating - it looked a bit rough considering its in the middle of Perth - I expected it to be a bit more modern - the pictures don't match the reality of the hotel.

Staff were very helpful. Great location. Good sized room.

Food in Bain Marie could have been a bit hotter at Brekkie time, but otherwise very good. Lift kept stopping on 3rd floor which is a disused office level which is grotty ie. not a good look.

I liked the room and the friendly staff who I found to be most helpful.

Limited tea facilities in the room only 2 normal teas and it would have been nice to have some biscuits.

Size of room

Decor is a bit dated, ie. carpet, pictures, etc.. Carpet in hallways stained Bathroom was very dated

The location and the helpful staff, the complimentary drink.

No plug in hand-basin, variable hot water temperature, rather strange breakfast on Monday (luke-warm sausage, scrambled egg only, and little of that, weird veg for brex), poor maintenance of rooms (curtain track falling down).

Seems to be very tired although some revamping has been done. Whilst it was good to have "soft "lights it was very difficult to be able to read with poor lighting. Perhaps some optional over headboard reading lights??

we liked everything

It was a wonderful stay...so relaxing and comfortable in our room..the staff were so friendly also...we will definitely be staying there again...

There was nothing not to like!!!

We were not told about the no parking, so smoking balcony, the breakfast was terrible and we were not told the pool was not functional all until we checked in. The water system was terrible.

Having two beds in the room. The size of the room. Friendly staff. Discounted parking.

Not possible to open window in room. Bedside light switch did not work ( room 407 ) Large gap under room's door, allowing light / noise to enter room at night.

-the service from all the staff was fantastic and friendly, very helpful -the bed was comfortable -the breakfast was great and HOT, good variety

-the room had an unpleasent odour -no dvd player -the bathroom outdated and quite dark -bathroom needs a good clean and revamp

Breakfast and the staff attitude - excellent. Having visited most of perths hotels we felt the Kings is the best value for money by far. Comparing car parking fees, breakfast and complimentary drink with others, there really is no contest the Kings is superior in this regard.

Curtains smelt of mould and window nets had holes in them.

I loved the room it was very spacious, the bed was comfy, the location was close to the train and you an visit a of Perth close to the port as well good

Only the location

The room was VERY run down. curtains, chair coverings & carpet very stained. Bathroom tiles broken, sink stained. The room had a musty smell. Undergoing a refit apparently but this is about 7 years overdue & definately not worth the money.

Location was walking distance to many city attractions.

Water was dripping from the light fitting located above the toilet, hence being dripped on. After advising hotel Reception nothing was done until I saw one of the maintenance staff who acted immediately, but only removed the light bulb. The drip continued. It's not a 5 star hotel, but overall not a bad place to stay either.

Lights didn't work in bathroom advised reception on check in. They sent someone up to fix but when we came back for night still was not working. Impossible to get ready in pitch darkness. Rooms were very old and run down. Holes in curtains.

Our remote didn't have battery's

the staff were friendly, the room was nicely refurbished.

The aircon in the room was terribly noisy and hard to work out. The hotel corridors, restaurant etc were outdated and could do with a refurb.

The buffet breakfast is awesome.

I was not able to stay longer :(
