The one meal we had whilst there was only average and the wait staff weren't particularly attentive
Very convenient location, great service
My room are a little bit noisy because of the central air-con system. I am fine. But my mum who love quite sleeping environment can't handle it.
Great hotel at great price
starting to look tired staff aren't up to elite standard.
Great pools, good loungey bar, good location
The restaurant is not open on Sunday or Mondays, so we had to go to a neighbouring property (Echoes) for dinner (which was wonderful with awesome views - I'll stay here next time!)
The staff were friendly and helpful. Any problems were seen to straight away.
Extra cost for a room with a view was not worth it, as windows are small and you cannot see much. Breakfast selection was limited and espresso coffee was extra cost. Bed was a little too hard. You could not open windows to get fresh air. Definitely other good hotels in the area which are much better value.
Complimentary newspaper Large room with comfy chairs
Spacious feel of the lounge
We booked two nights on line as a combined Christmas and birthday treat with another couple. Our check-in was friendly, prompt and trouble free. When we were almost in the lobby we were assisted with our luggage which was taken to our rooms. They had logged on the system that it was my friends birthday (4 small chocolates in her room) and in addition to a Christmas card (addressed to my husband with the booking in my name) there was a small Panettone in each room as a Christmas gift. The room was quite spacious with a roof line near the end of the bed that you needed to duck every time you walked past or you would crack your head. There were lots of white fluffy towels in the bathroom and the toiletries were beautiful and in plentiful supply. The grounds and the feel of the resort are great and the location near the 3 Sisters is ideal. Lots of hip little cafes open in the Katoomba main street over the public holidays. Breakfast was certainly cheaper than the $35 per head buffet at the resort. It was good to be able to turn off the air con and open the window to enjoy the fresh mountain air
There was basic maintenance and housekeeping in the room that had not been completed - a hole in the sheer curtains (certainly large enough to notice as soon as you walked in the room) and the trim on the large arm chair was hanging off and the kettle put away in the cupboard still half full of water. We had booked a deluxe garden view room and for the obviously inflated price we paid for this time of the year a view of some trees and the car park does not constitute either deluxe or garden view. It was a good shower over a deep bath but it was quite difficult, and not the safest to climb out over the edge. A safety rail would have been appreciated. By the feel of the shaky towel rail people had been grabbing that to steady themselves as they got out!!! We found the free WiFi signal weak. We had a lovely 2 days in the beautiful Blue Mountains with a fabulous Christmas Dinner at the "sister" hotel Echoes but certainly felt for what we had paid for our accommodation and our expectations based around the publicity and the hype of the resort we were disappointed
The swimming pool was good size.
3 of us in a twin room for which we paid extra with no visible additional space or accommodation. Breakfast was poor.
Old world charm
Pool area small not serviced regularly and few umbrellas
Staff willingness to help, location, facilities
No restaurant open on Sunday, Claustrophobic room due to small windows
Relaxing and comfortable rooms. Beautiful grounds and views. Dinner in Echoes Restaurant overlooking valley. Nice Pool.
This was probably the most comfortable hotel room we have ever stayed in. Large room, comfy bed, great bathroom, and two very comfy chairs to watch the TV. Definitely big enough to swing a cat!
Lovely hotel Great front desk staff The front desk staff upgraded my room which was lovely
Breakfast, very disappointing for $28 was expecting something special. My tea was at least 15 minutes late and the waiter gave a very insincere, rote learnt appology. Food was quiet dry, esp. tomatoes Other patrons also waited length times for breakfast items, often up to 20 minutes...also recieving the insincere rolled out appology.
Beautiful area, facilities, friendly top notch staff. Everything you would expect from such a resort.
Staff did a wonderful job, extremely good welcome, helpful advice, excellent service in the lounge and brilliant service in Darley's restaurant.
This is a beautiful hotel with great facilities. We loved the gardens and the outdoor pool facilities. The bedrooms have good facilities, and the free wifi is very useful.
Disappointed "Darleys" the award winning restaurant attached to the hotel imposes a set two course menu. This prevented us from going as I personally only ever have a main course. The hotel evening meal menu is very limited .
Best motel I have stayed in for many years. Can't wait to go back
Loved the grounds and relaxing lounge where you could also get a bite to eat. The beds were very comfortable. Brekky was good- good variety. Free valet parking. Wifi was free and good. Very quiet location even though it is within walking distance to Echo Point. There is a wonderful spa also. I would definitely stay here again!
wifi bad, tile where you stand in shower loose
Free internet for two devices
The location, gardens, decor, staff, pool. Everything!
The location near the 3 Sisters was amazing and the property is located on really nice mature grounds. The bedrooms are a decent size with nice antique style furniture.
The major let down at this property is the staff. They are not well trained in customer service and are certainly not of a 5 star standard. When we arrived no one showed us to our room or bothered to ask if we needed help with our luggage. The restaurant was booked out, despite it being a key selling feature of the property, they choose to take outside bookings over guests paying to stay at the property. The staff did not care and found it a hassle to suggest and book an alternative restaurant.
