Staff willingness to help, location, facilities
No restaurant open on Sunday, Claustrophobic room due to small windows
Relaxing and comfortable rooms. Beautiful grounds and views. Dinner in Echoes Restaurant overlooking valley. Nice Pool.
This was probably the most comfortable hotel room we have ever stayed in. Large room, comfy bed, great bathroom, and two very comfy chairs to watch the TV. Definitely big enough to swing a cat!
Lovely hotel Great front desk staff The front desk staff upgraded my room which was lovely
Breakfast, very disappointing for $28 was expecting something special. My tea was at least 15 minutes late and the waiter gave a very insincere, rote learnt appology. Food was quiet dry, esp. tomatoes Other patrons also waited length times for breakfast items, often up to 20 minutes...also recieving the insincere rolled out appology.
Beautiful area, facilities, friendly top notch staff. Everything you would expect from such a resort.
Staff did a wonderful job, extremely good welcome, helpful advice, excellent service in the lounge and brilliant service in Darley's restaurant.
This is a beautiful hotel with great facilities. We loved the gardens and the outdoor pool facilities. The bedrooms have good facilities, and the free wifi is very useful.
Disappointed "Darleys" the award winning restaurant attached to the hotel imposes a set two course menu. This prevented us from going as I personally only ever have a main course. The hotel evening meal menu is very limited .
Best motel I have stayed in for many years. Can't wait to go back
Loved the grounds and relaxing lounge where you could also get a bite to eat. The beds were very comfortable. Brekky was good- good variety. Free valet parking. Wifi was free and good. Very quiet location even though it is within walking distance to Echo Point. There is a wonderful spa also. I would definitely stay here again!
wifi bad, tile where you stand in shower loose
Free internet for two devices
The location, gardens, decor, staff, pool. Everything!
The location near the 3 Sisters was amazing and the property is located on really nice mature grounds. The bedrooms are a decent size with nice antique style furniture.
The major let down at this property is the staff. They are not well trained in customer service and are certainly not of a 5 star standard. When we arrived no one showed us to our room or bothered to ask if we needed help with our luggage. The restaurant was booked out, despite it being a key selling feature of the property, they choose to take outside bookings over guests paying to stay at the property. The staff did not care and found it a hassle to suggest and book an alternative restaurant.
The afternoon tea and Darleys restaurant. Amazing!
Our room looked onto the car park which was disappointing. Wish the outdoor pool was a little warmer and breakfast room wasn't looking out to the car park
The location, the ambience of the property and the rooms
Difficulty with parking. High tea on Friday afternoon was appalling - not many people in lounge, ordered only scones and coffee - waited 15 minutes for coffee to arrive, after 20 minutes, still no scones, left very disappointed. Dined at Casual Dining on Friday night - staff pleasant and attentive, meal terrible, would not dine there again. The property is lovely but would think twice about staying again.
Loved the outlook from our valley view room. Front desk service was of top quality including late night options and restaurant suggestions. The service in the lounge was superior. We chose to change our breakfast location due to noise issues as described to below. This was a quick and easy process.
The bathrooms are certainly showing there age and weren't as clean as you'd expect. The heavy curtains and bed canopy were dusty and gave the room a "stale" smell. Our room was quiet tight in places such as end of the bed. It appears many families stay there. The lounge was rather noisy at the times we visited. The pools were extremly noisy and crowded with families. This means it is not a calm and quiet sanctuary. Perhaps a period during the day that was "kid free" could be considered. That being said we stayed during school holidays. We wouldn't do so in future.
Lovely room and main areas.
Wifi was ridiculously slow.
Close access to hiking trails.
Little things like an extra charge to buy drinks by the pool just take away from the experience.
The hotel is very old with bad taste of decor for very expensive price they charge. The staff is very rude, its like they dont want to work there.
Staff were very friendly and dealt promptly with an issue regarding the quality of one of our dinner choices. all in all an excellent venue and great place to stay.
Room is clean, great indoor swimming pool facility. Love the cozy ambiance and food is great.
Nothing to complain about.
Absolutely loved Location, facilities, friendly staff, ambience,
For years I have been hearing from friends how special Lilianfels is so, for my husbands' 80th birthday, decided to treat him to a night there. We were not disappointed, it was lovely and the staff so pleasant. And...birthday chocolates were sent to our room with a welcoming letter!
We travel overseas every year, staying in a lot of hotels, but could not fault Lilianfels.
Location is good and the staff was friendly.
The choice of restaurants was poor around there.
