The spa

Our room was a converted garage separate to the main building and we did not have access to the facilities in the main building because no-one else was there. Also we did not have any staff present during the whole of our stay and so we had nothing more than our room with just one chair. this was a major negative. The owner did advise that our room was separate to the man building but did not make it clear that we would not have access to these facilities.

I liked the location, the price and the fact that it was in a private little cabin away from the others.

I was delighted to have access to the living areas---and not just having the bedroom. it was warm and welcoming; the bed was wonderfully comfortable. Being able to access the key and let ourselves in was great.

Nothing really that I didnt like. Maybe having access to a hair dryer might be good----but this isnt a complaint...

Die Umgebung und das Zimmer waren wunderschön.

Ich fand es schade,dass die Besitzerin mir am Tag meiner Anreise telefonierte, sie sei nicht hier. Ich habe über eine Stunde nach dem Hausschlüssel gesucht. Wie sich herausstellte, fand ich den Schlüssel fürs falsche Haus und wohnte 3 Nächte dort. Es war wunderbar, hatte aber keinen Privatspa. Es war etwas unheimlich, ganz allein in einem großen Haus in einem fremden Haus. Ich habe in diesen 3 Tagen nur den Mann getroffen, der die Wäsche brachte. Wenn man ohne Auto ist, ist dieses Hotel nicht so Ideal - Fußmarsch ca. 25 Min.

Good value, got the front of the house to myself (otherwise you'd share the lounge and dining rooms with another room), great bed, lovely fireplace, host was not on location but very helpful

My husband is allergic to feathers so, as we requested, all feather bedding was removed from the room.

At no time did we meet a member of staff - there were none there. Before our arrival, we received a phone call to tell us where the key was hidden as no - one would be there to meet us. We requested a king room but were given a double room - I assume that was because the double room was a stand alone (resembling a garage) outside the main building hence no need, in their view, to open up the rest of the hotel. This room did not suit our purpose but there was no - one there to sort out the problem. The first morning, someone arrived to put out the rubbish but made no attempt to contact us. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and I would not recommend it to anyone.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean, and the hospitality was great. The amenities were new and comforting. Perfect sized room fo a couples getaway, very warm and cozy even in the dead of winter. It was a short stroll into Hepburn Springs for cafes/restaurants and only 3km into Daylesford. My partner and I had a great time and we would definitely consider Little Auberge again next time we were in the area.
