Oaks M On Palmer  

The furnishings were clean and new compared to the Oaks Charlotte in Brisbane. The layout was good too. Unfortunately, having stayed at the Oaks chain of hotels in different cities in Australia, the standard look is beginning to be boring. Hope the Oaks at different locations could provide greater variety to the furnishings and decor on a variation of the theme peculiar to the city. Other than that, it is good value for dollar. Will definitely look up the Oaks again.

There is only one person at the reception. As such , service is not prompt.

Location was great. Room was very clean and modern.

There were no towels in the room and the plug in the bathrrom basin was stuck.

Oaks m on palmer is close to family that live in townsville plus there are many eating establishments within walking distance of the hotel.

The pillows are not very user friendly

Close to restaurants but not in the busy noisy area. Great view from the cityscape room.

We had ants in our room on the 6th floor! There was mould on the wall of the shower. Both were rectified when we mentioned them

I love the position and the metropole beneath has great food.

Nothing really liked it my family stayed there also recently. We all loved it.

The room was modern & clean with a great view Located just a short walk to shops and restuarants.

Could not sit on balcony, while the airconditioner was on, as the air con unit was on the balcony & it blows hot air.

The rooms were exceptionally small, this was not what I thought we would get.

We enjoyed our stay immensly

I personally loved the decor and the fact that it was stylish while being very comfortable. I also liked the ability to have everything at my fingertips such as the dishwasher, the washing machine and dryer. The front reception staff were most helpful giving us directions on a daily basis and providing travel maps. We also enjoyed being so close to the city and some great outdoor cafes.

The lack of a decent ironing board cover. I had to iron on the bed as the ironing board left marks on my clothes.

It was a beautiful room and comfort was lovely. Apart from the toilet.

I was very disappointed to bring my new wife to here as there was poo all around the edge of one side of the toilet, it was quite discuting as she refused to use it and we cut our stay short as my wife wanted to go to the toilet but no there.. But the room was delightful and I hope to take her there again to show her this was a one off.. Kind regards Troy thompson

The location was ideal. Reception staff were friendly

Housekeeping was pitiful sheets were soiled...when I phoned reception, they informed us that the sheets are changed weekly even after I had mentioned the sheets were dirty

too close to industry, our room over looked industrial estate, too close to train tracks noisy if balconey door open
