We liked everything there! Location very convenient, view breathtaking, very clean and comfortable rooms. I wish to return there. Sydney just amazaing!

The fact the Hotel is a short thirty minute walk to the city made it a great stay for us. Shops,hairdressers,laundries,Bottle shops,Restaurants and everything we needed.

some of the staff seemed to lack knowledge, otherwise they were all very friendly and great people.

Just about everything.Reception helpfuless,along with nice manners and willing disposition. And the view from our room was awesome.

Room could have been bigger and pretty noisy late night at times.

Great location; good clean rooms. We stayed in a room with nice views to Elizabeth Bay.

Room was clean - kitchenette was very handy to prepare breakfast. Table and chairs to sit and eat at. Room compact but everything you need. Woolies across the road. Coffee shops and eating places right there. Out of the hussel of the city but close enough to walk. Loved the walk through the Botanical Gardens...so close We had a harbour view room - worth it

Didnt stay long enough

Staff outstanding - went above and beyond. Location to harbour, bridge everything was walkable. Close to grocery store, restaurants shopping.

That we were able to go to the rooftop when there were scaphals, cords all over, no guard rails, ladders - very very unsafe area.

the close proximity of ammenities such as bus stop, supermarket and train station

being right next to the lift which did mean we got disturbed when sleeping a couple of the nights we stayed there

Really nice staff and manageress very helpful.Cleaners did a great job of the room every day.Pool was nice but cold,if I ever go to Sydney again I would highly recommend staying at Macleay Hotel.

I have only one thing to say is when the builders started we was told 9am to 3pm but were disturbed at 7.30am after a night out that was the last thing to hear.Not realy the hotels fault.

accomodation had seen better days and was in need of total renovation. Unfortunately outside noise made for one of the worst night sleeps ever.

Great location in a quiet area with lovely streetscapes and a huge variety of cafes and restaurants within a short walk - from cheap and cheerful nearer Kings Cross to upmarket expensive places right outside. Also the reception staff were really helpful and friendly - all of them throughout our four night stay. We had a fabulous view over Elizabeth and Rushcutter Bays.

Everything was very clean but the room and bathroom could do with some refurbishment.

The hotel provided a fantastic location- with the Botanical Gardens a block away through which the harbour was a 10-15 min walk. The room was very comfortable and clean and the staff extremely helpful in providing advise for our stay. We followed her suggestions and loved every minute! Thank-you!

Had a great stay here. The room was really nice and bright. It was very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Pool was a great bonus for hot days. The hotel in a nice area with lots of restaurants and is only a 10 minute walk from kings cross station which will get you to the city centre. We didnt pay extra for the room with a bridge view but the girl at the desk gave us the keys to the roof which has some of the best views in sydney. Stunning views of the harbour and opera house. Go up at sunset for a view that will take your breath away.

The internet situation is very bad. There is no wireless in the hotel in the rooms (only a cable). There is wireless in the lobby but it is slow and does not work half of the time. This is the only drawback.

Good location for the opera house, harbour bridge and botanic gardens area. Room was well appointed and clean. Staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble.

Only issue was infrequency of 311 bus at night
