It's located on a nice street, and the front desk receptionist was very friendly. This hotel has no wi-fi, room-service, air-con, elevator. The carpet in my room looked and felt gross and dirty. I don't recommend getting a balcony room, the room's balcony next door was right up against my balcony. The neighbors could look straight in at me if they were on the balcony, so to gain privacy I was forced to have the blinds closed. Also when the neighbor was smoking on her balcony the smoke went straight in to my room. My non smoking room stank of cigarette smoke. Also, you could hear every word of peoples conversation when they were on the balcony. This hotel isn't even that cheap, there are plenty of other Sydney hotels at the same price that are MUCH better.

The nicest bit of the hotel was the reception. The rooms were cluttered and out of date, there was no cuttlery in the rooms and I was disapointed with the stay. The rooms were cluttered and out of date, there was no cuttlery in the rooms and I was disapointed with the stay.

It was a little Backerpackerish for us and the first room we got was awful ,no natural light, however we were able to change to room with own bathroom for 20$ extra. The receptionist Tracy was lovely and very helpful. Fine for 4 days in Sydney and only used it to sleep.

Excellent location for exploring the city! Though make sure you don't mind the somewhat dodgy King Cross/Darlinghurst road around the corner.

Great location, close to train station, shops and cafes, and no too far from city. It is on a nice street. The lodge is clean, bright, safe and staff are helpful. For a budget place, it is a surprise that there is a microwave, fridge and coffee/tea facilities! Nice touch. The only downside is no airconditioning, although there is a ceiling fan.

The pictures on the website suggest new, fresh and modern rooms. This is not the case: the room was clean but old and a bit worn down. The fan could not cool down the room even when is was 23 Celsius outside.

The lady at reception was very friendly and helped us change rooms when the one we were in was very warm. Very close to centre of Sydney- 15min walk through Botanic Gardens. Very nice area- however closest tube station was in King's Cross Area. There is no airconditioning and the fans were not brilliant.

Location was pretty good. Price reflected the standard of the rooms although believe we were probably issued the hottest room in the city (nr 25). Even with the window and fans open/on all the time. Staff were friendly and helpful but the hotel/lodge needs a good makeover.

You get what you pay for. It's not great, but not expensive either. Very friendly people running the accomodation. It could have been a bit cleaner. Room as well as dishes and bathrooms.

The staff is very friendly. Our room was basic but clean, with a microwave, toaster, tv, kettle and a sink. The shared bathroom was very clean. There's a woolworth's shop very close to the hotel and it's open until late at night so no matter when you come back home, if you're hungry you can always get something to eat and have it in your room. The hotel has no laundry facilities but in the same street there are heaps! Also the hostel has no wi-fi but there's a internet café just next to it and should be something like 4$ for 30 minutes, a bit expensive, but if you really need it, can be a solution! A bit far away from the city cbd. It tooks 20 minutes walking for arrive there. On the other hand it's just less then 5 minutes walking from kings cross, so could be a good solution for young peple.

The location is fantastic, the bed superb and very useful having a fridge and toaster in the room. However, describing it as boutique may have different connotations in England. Boutique to me means not just individual, but also of a very high standard. That is not the case here, my curtain rail fell on me when I closed the curtains on the first night, which was great for testing the reactions, but not suggestive of a classy room. That said, great value for Sydney and I would recommend to friends, with advice to pull back the curtains pretty carefully!

Staff very friendly/helpful. Location excellent. Room Ok Bedrooms with balcony - no barriers between balconies so cigarette smoke and noise can be very disturbing. Bathroom a bit small.

Price, the shared bathrooms were clean, a Woolworths next door, fridge Our room was located to the street and it was really, really loud, the windows are not isolated at all, even with earplugs I could not sleep, the only thing to see in Potts Point are drunken backpackers
