Loved the beds, parking and location
25 minute wait to check in and out. The staff didn't give us any direction on how to use keys in lifts and doors.Very disappointed that we booked a room with a balcony only to have a pilar go through ours. Not even enough room for my husband and I to stand together to take in the view
Have stayed at Mantra St Kikda rd a number of times, all ways first choice for hotel to stay at :-)
decor, kitchenette with large fridge, balcony
small room, poor configuration, only soft pillows available, TV in an awkward position, WiFi did not work
Price Cleanliness Comfort
I had just sprained my ankle and wished i had asked for a room with a bath:(
Room was a little small for a King Superior room
The Bed was Great as always alogn with block out curtains. Very clean place and lovely staff.
The fridge makes a lot of noise and maybe a few more pillows would be nice given they are very thin.
Large, gorgeous apt. with fabulous view of the park and bay. We had the 2 bedroom/2 bath apt. and were very pleased with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the elegant modern style of the apt. Comfy beds.Nice open kitchen and living space and terrace.
Note that you'll need to figure out the tram system (card is purchased in store and loaded at stops) to get into the downtown/wharf area. Not walking distance. More of a commercial/office area. While this is nice and safe, it does mean there were only very small convenience stores close by for buying (very expensive) grocery items, so we didn't save money like we thought we might with a full kitchen to prepare meals, rather than eat out every meal.
Like location and the rooms
No undercover driveway that taxis can pull onto. That room service is 40 min away or more
The reception staff were friendly and helpful
Housekeeping was terrible , the 4 nights we stayed the housekeeping was not done well at all therefore ruined our experience of what we were expecting and paid for
Access to public transport
Staff were a bit grumpy, obviously some conflict going on behind the scenes. Delay in checking in as one of our rooms was not ready 10:00am Checkout a bit early for city hotel
We only stayed one night but found this hotel to be very good, especially the very comfortable beds
Proximity to attractions size of room good
- I haven't been disappointed with a Mantra yet. - Well appointed. -Extremely helpful staff. - Close proximity to public transport and centre of the city.
I couldn't fault anything.
room was very clean and modern
the attitude of the staff member on reception at check in. There was a trainee on who obviously hadn't been there very long she was very pleasant but the way other lady treated and spoke to her was quite painful to watch.
The apartment was roomy, clean modern and had a great view of the surrounding city views from the 17th floor. The kitchen had everything you'd need , we didn't use it so wasted on us. The beds were comfortable although we hadn't expected the second bedroom to have twin beds and would have preferred a double bed in the second bedroom. Modern fresh and a great gym.
The Mantra was just too far from anything or anywhere we wanted to visit. For a short weekend away I'd stay in the CBD next time, Taxi's everywhere cost a fortune. I'd expected it to be IN St Kilda and it wasn't .
Location... Room cleanliness and comfortable bed. Roomie bathroom
Nothing open nearby during the day ie restaurants etc Room very small
Amazing spacious room and bed. Good value. Clean and helpful staff
Ceiling looked a little unfinished
Friendly housekeepers, smiley receptionists.
Reception don't answer the phone. It rings out and then says mail box is full. No one around to help with luggage. Remote controls and boxes for TV confusing.
Lack of natural light
Great themed apartments with comfortable beds. Kitchenette was great to have in the room.
No blinds which meant the light in the morning would come through
Large rooms, good cooking facilities, even a dishwasher. Everything is modern and well made. Price very reasonable as well.
Internet is not included and is quite expensive. In this day and age needs to be included by default.
Very comfortable bed and pillows in Master Bedroom Free WiFi Close to tram stops Excellent customer Service
Only a couple of Foxtel channels
comfortable kitchen in room clean
The friendly staff. The help we received as out of state travellers with maps & suggestions. Colour schemes of rooms and available appliances.
not sure if the ceilings were meant to be left unpainted? :) no tissues ? H2O $6 bit steep, usually get complimentary water not too much of a big deal tho just saying!
