The location in regards to the railway station and local shops, cafe's etc. especially if you havent access to a car. The hotel appears to be a bit tired. The rooms could do with a bit of freshening up, the windows and curtains need maintenance so they can be opened easily. Also the downpipe outside my room (209?) dripped the entire time I was there, annoyingly. |

accessability to the city is very good,by train or bus,car parking on site,pay tv in rooms,very helpful staff at the counter no clock radio in room. There are 3 levels,only stair access ,so elderly or people with crutches/ wheelchairs should take note of this,otherwise the averge person should have no problems. |

The staff were very helpful, knowledgable and friendly. The gave information about travel in the city, local shops and even got us a DVD player when it was too wet to go out with the children. |

Although the decor is more than a bit out of date, the general cleanliness is very, very good, and all the basic amenities are available in the room or from Reception. We definitley appreciate having wifi / Internet access in the room. The location is great for us, as it usually doesn't take long to get where we need to go - most of our visits are conferences and/or trade shows at Darling Harbour or Homebush. Parking probably always has been a problem at the Marco Polo and is unlikely to change... We're prepared to take our chances because there is usually some some of space available... I drive a Pajero long wheel base 4wd so probably don't fit the usual city traveller when we get to Sydney. |

We found the location ideal and the quality of the accommodation comfortable and reasonably priced . The reception staff were friendly and helpful. I did say good morning to one of the young cleaning staff as I passed her with our bags. From her lack of proper response I guess she hates her job and doesn't like working Sunday mornings. But I wasn't surprised , just disappointed. A smile and hello costs nothing but brings joy to everyone. She will hopefully learn that the most valuable things in life don't have a price you can place on them. |

The room we were given the first night was a family room even though we booked for a double room. The room was overcrowded with beds and there a strong chemical smell. Also the bed was full of hair. Total comfort and appearance of room are worse than any backpackers and was way overcharged. |

I had a car and the location was central to my needs. No problems checking in early, everything needed was in the room, the hotel was perfectly fine for my needs. I did read about the stairs in the reviews but they weren't an issue for a (got-to-face-facts) middle-aged guy with 2 bags (I was on the 3rd flr). |
