The concept and layout of this farm is good. the farm also provide adequate information about the area.
The staff were nice, nice scenery, wood heater, per friendly
No blinds in some places so no privacy, no tongs in kitchen, chainsaws going throughout the day, no fresh eggs or bottle of wine in room (was informed that we would receive these things upon arrival), the price is too high to expect guests to clean the rooms upon departure
It was my puppies first trip to Margs. My boyfriend and I head to Margs every chance we get. The place was close to everything that we wanted to see and do. And Diesel loved the fact he could always keep an eye on all the farm animals.
The fact we had to leave. The heating was pretty average and we had ants go through Diesel's biscuits. Tv needed to be a bigger. Other then that, there was nothing else, oh the chickens must of not been laying. Was looking forward to some fresh eggs.
The kind hospitality of the farmers warmed our hearts in the cold June. The energetic Dexter played fetch and leaped over the fences never cease to amaze us. Feeding of the chickens, ducks, pheasant fowls and peacocks was a pleasant encounter. Though the prudent emus and alpacas kept a little distance, the enthusiastic sheep greeted us with their fury caresses. The breathtaking flight of a majestic peacock made everyone gazed in awe. The coziness and cleanliness of the cottage made our weeklong stay comfortable. And the great Australian experience left a deep impression on us city dwellers especially my 11 year old boy who now wants to have an animal farm!
Insufficient hot water for showers. The second nite I had to choose between a hot shower and a hairwash. Just wasn't enough hot water for both in the freezing June.
The farmstay experience where you can get up-close with the animals. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the location to nearby supermarket is just 5 minuets drive. You can even cook with their kitchen provided.
2 bedrooms with 1 sharing toilet. There are 6 of us so it takes longer time to use the toilet.
The perfect get away for family with kids. It just does not get any better. Thanks you Vinnie and family
Friendliness of the hosts. Farm activities.
we were able to walk around the farm and the kids can play with the farm animals even though it was not feeding time. very hospitable host, took time to explain about the animals and places of interest
Very hospitable owners, showed us all the way to our apartments and also gave us suggestions on the things we could do at Margaret River. Friendly dogs which were out to greet us whenever we came out of our cottage. Excellent animal feeding which we all enjoyed. Overall an awesome experience!
Exit signs can a bit hard to notice especially at night.
friendly service & the serenity of the outback and interaction with the animals.
Vinnie and Lisa are very friendly and really made our stay much better. The children get to interact with the free ranging animals and they love it. It was an awesome stay.
Staff were incredibly friednly and helpful. The cottages were very clean and well laid out. Animals were fantastic, my daughter had a great time, especially with the feeding times on the weekend
Needs a curtain or blind on the kitchen window
This was an excellent cottage in a wonderful location that gave us the opportunity to explore the region at our leisure whilst enjoying the comforts of home. It was tranquil and relaxing and we were able to enjoy reading on the patio listening to the sounds of the surrounding wildlife. The cottage was light and spacious giving both couples privacy when required.
Friendly and helpful service. Excellent facilities.
Vinnie was wonderful. Fresh eggs were great. the location was really convenient.
Ants! But they were just annoying and to be expected on a farm property.
The host, Vinnie, was excellent - professional, friendly and helpful. He was great with the kids and helped to make our stay fantastic. The farm had a nice variety of lovely animals and the children could get close to them. A highly recommended accommodation for families with young children.
The animal feeding time was great. Vinnie the farmer was encouraging. He taught my daughter how to feed the animals and gave her a ride on his wheelbarrow around the farm, she had so much fun. I liked the fireplace where real logs were burned.
clean and well-maintained cottage and bathroom, free roaming animals throughout the day which my daughter enjoyed, warm friendly host and very fun animal feeding sessions.
Very attentive manager and friendly animals, fantastic stay!
Will be better if there's more toilet in the unit.
A nice farmstay. Our children were able to feed the farm animals like chicken, ducks, sheep and even lamas.
Lotsa of small flies in our toilet.
Natural environment country style animals bush family
The farm itself was nice. The host Vinnie was great. My son really enjoyed the interaction with the animals and the feeding sessions in the morning in which the children took part. And the fresh eggs each morning were amazing!
Vinnie, the Manager, was fantastic and as we were only there for one night, he allowed our children to help feed the animals as soon as we arrived. They were also able to help the following morning. They loved being able to run around amongst the chickens, peacocks, dogs and Murray (the cow!). The three bed accommodation was contemporary, clean and very spacious. We will definitely go back.
We had a wonderful 5 nights stay at Cottage no.7, which is a 3 bedroom superior cottage. Vinnie is great with the kids, my elder son whom is 3 years old loves him. As with Sydneyresident, we experienced the power failure which affected the whole town and a few towns over. Vinnie brought around the portable generator so that we could have a quick shower and head out for activites. There's plenty to do around the area and all within 30min -90mins drive.
