Nice clean room, friendly staff & a good breakfast

We had a king size bed and it was a little hard for an older couple.

The rooms and bathrooms - very good value for money!

The fact that they were painting the foyer. Paint fumes give me headaches, and I understand that it needs to be done, but why not at an hour when everyone is out or in bed?

Michael at the front desk was most welcoming. The location is great and it is indeed value for money. I would stay here again.

when i went to book in there was no booking for me although i had changed my booking via the website over the weekend the manager from rendezvous rang on the monday to confirm that i had the reservation but it would cost extra so i agreed to the extra cost and she said i was booked in, and i recieved email confirming this (which i'd taken with me) but there was no room! they offered me to go to another hotel but i didn't want to so they could only offer me a room with a broken air con which i took as it was 7pm by this time! but the staff were helpful and very appologetic and gave us a free buffet breakfast and said they will only charge me the first rate i was quoted so i will be checking my credit card statement, but i was disappointed

the location was good, would be suitable for families who wanted to cook, and needed a bit of space

the curtain didnt close, therefore street light shone in ALL NIGHT. The balcony door would not open,so the balcony was useless-all it needed was a $10 new set of runners. dissappointing

Situation is great ...right by Central Station so easy access to everywhere. Quite noisy if the window is open but then it is in the heart of the city.

On arrival was given the wrong room, one without a patio which had been specified in our deal. Thankfully I'd taken a copy of the deal so there was no argument. Luckily there was one patio King left so we did get the correct room, however we were told it was a Booking.com error when they booked and not a hotel error. So it really does pay to check these things and next time I will ring the Hotel to check.

The whole package. Staff were great, hotel was of a good quality and clean, only used the restaurant for breakfast, which was good.

We enjoyed our stay @ the Rendezvous hotel. The staff were very friendly and tried to be accommodating. There had been a mix up with our request for a twin King Single room and on check in were unable to move us to accommodate this request as the hotel was full... The restaurant was wonderful as we ate there for an evening meal and the breakfast which we found to be fabulous on both visits... :)

The position, would not recommend this hotel at all

Very poor on resetting tables we booked in nov 2012 money taken in dec 2012 we stayed march 2013 up graded was supposed to be done room 308 was not a upgrade very poor service

Let's be honest, Sydney is one of the most expensive hotel cities in the world - so whilst this establishment is not budget, it is good value compared with others around. Sitting at the top end of the CBD it is just over a mile from Circular Quay, but quite walkable to, or there is a free bus rout that stops at the station (opposite) - much of the walk is through China Town, and the rest offers some chic shops, so it is interesting. The hotel is well appointed, with freshly decorated rooms and a smart feel, great city view sundeck on the roof, and the all important free internet (which was a little slow, but we ran SKYPE on it OK). All in all not bad, and we would use this, or one of their chain again.

Maid service was good, in terms of cleaning, but she failed to top up tea/coffee, or change an empty box of tissues - little things but just slightly disappointing.

It is close to central station and also buses to get around Sydney.

Door not working properly.

The allocated room, except for an extremely hard to open door leading from room to balcony, would be a nightmare for an older person in the event of a fire. Convenience to business centre and off street secure parking.

When booking asked for "the possibility of a room with a balcony. A question. When booking in front desk staff advised my wife that an upgrade to a balcony room was an extra $45-00. Only asked the question, did not expect an exhorbantant increase of $45-00 to be contronted by a filthy ashtray half filled with cigaretta butts and water on a table on balcony. The door from the room to the balcony was extremely hard to open and close and I assert the extra money, indeed a hidden cost, cleanliness of the baclcony the offending door ceretainly contributed to our poor opinion of the hotel. Won't be staying there again.

the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant and the accommodation was very comfortable. It was also cleaned on a daily basis.

liked the convenience of Central station across the road for the tram line to the casino at night and felt safe..liked breakfast included in our booking which was a great way to start each day with friendly staff especially young Olivia who was exceptional.

nothing..hotel couldn't help the weather which meant that we were unable to take advantage of the pool which was what attracted us to hotel in the first place

Great location for ease of visiting all the sights.
