no foxtel. Had to go out to local pub to watch Monday night football. electric jug would not fit in hand basin to fill. Ad hoc repairs of poor standand in bathroom.

The pool looks amazing

The managers were amazing and very kind hearted & understanding!!! (We were down for a funeral and other friends needed accommodation at last minute and they were able to accommodate them with late notice.) Motel was basic but seeing as we didn't spend a lot of time there comfortable and clean which was the most important. Will defs stay there again when needing accommodation in that area.

Apart from its closeness to the M1 motorway, noise was not an issue inside the room. Its locality in relation to our family's get together. The bed and pillows in room 7 were very comfortable.

My partner tried to give in our and my father's breakfast menu as soon as we returned from Coolangatta airport. I had already informed them in the late afternoon that we would be back to submit them as soon as we returned. I was assured that was fine. My partner was seen and ignored by the lady whom I later spoke with and received our breakfast orders. While speaking with her she told me she ran the motel and did the breakfasts herself. Please note the orders were only twelve minutes late from the time they were to have been submitted. Although my partner was very upset at this lady's rudeness, I immediately went down to the reception and them obtain this lady's attention as she was leaving the pool area. During our discussion I remained polite and non confrontational. My father was booked into room 6 and we were in room 7. The hot water taps & shower taps leaked in both rooms. In room 7 the following was well below acceptable; Cracked and broken tiles in the bathroom and shower recess. Mould in the grout of the tiles, Unpainted repair to wall of the bathroom, An excessive amount of filler in shower recess to hide the poor tiling, Stains on the carpet, Slats falling free from the closet. An extremely dirty electronic clock were the face was so dirty it was difficult to see the time on the clock, Only 4 channels available on the TV, An extremely noisy air conditioner making it difficult to get to sleep.

That is was so close to where we had a seminar on, literally 3 minutes drive.

The staff, the pool, the food, and although I chose a budget room I had everything I really needed.

Very hard to find for a non local. The address is the highway but it's on the service road. The closest exit numbers should be part of the information automatically printed out on your booking form.

For a hotel next to the M1 it was quiet with a comfortable bed and a big shower.

Friendly staff. Excellent value for money. Restaurant staff friendly and made you most welcome. Meal excellent for quality, taste, presentation and value.

There was nothing that we did not like. The motel does show its age and needs a revamp. The bathroom in room 6 needs a lot of attention. Taps very difficult to turn off, loose hot cold buttons, very old, need replacing. Tile flooring very untidy against vanity wall. Would still stay with you on next visit.

Handy to the conference

Road noise, close to motorway. The inability to cancel a day's stay in advance and receive a refund due to the weather the extra day was not required at the conference.

Not that we did'nt like it, it was just a shame we could'nt use your very inviting pool and spa area due to your upgrades.

It meets my three criteria for a good hotel: 1) Comfortable & clean 2) Good pillows 3) Good shower

I liked leaving McNevins Motel

I didn't like the $110.00 room that was the size of a shoe box. The Bathroom was held together by silicone and the whole room was outdated 30 years ago. The bed was that old there was no support springs holding it together and for a heater we had a small electric portable heater that was not safe at all to use.

I realize they are re building the motel but the web site and brocure look nothing like what the motel looks like at the moment!

Location was great, Pool was lovely and central located to BBQ it was clean tidy and very budget friendly great location close to shops etc

The female Staff member at front desk was very blunt and not friendly at all.I had a phone conversation with her prior to arriving and was already prepared for this. The male staff member however was very accomadating and we were recommending many of our team to stay there next time.
