Cleanliness of room We had reserved this room as we needed to leave from the international airport early next morning. Our reservation was made on web reccomendations but we were very disappointed as our experience was nothing like the reviews! Initial greeting at front desk business-like but very impersonal. Not made to feel welcome.Had asked for twin beds - this was not mentioned and certainly not provided. Adjacent room had very noisy guests - coming and going all night. They finally arrived around 4am, made a lot of noise and were smoking which totally permeated our room. After phoning reception there did seem to be some noise abatement but only settled at the time we were due to leave. All in all a very unsatisfactory stay!

Good view of Storey Bridge and down the river- with a great sound proof sliding door. Easy and enjoyable walk to downtown (via the river) and Fortitude Valley. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The Medina feels like it needs a revamp- our room was very basic, with many aspects worn and torn (cupboards that didn't shut, drawer fronts broken, tiles chipped and stained). And unfortunately the bed was really firm and uncomfortable. None of which matched the price we paid for the night. A shame as the location and the staff were great.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Nothing really the room was nothing like it was on the internet it looked much bigger. The shower was difficult to turn over from the bath tap and the bathroom door didn't close properly. The airconditioning didn't work and when we complained nothing was done. I would rate this hotel as poor it definitely was not value for money!

Front desk staff were exceptional, views were amazing, good position to the valley. Pool a little small. Foxtel should be free. This was definitely a turn off to staying again. Other hotels include more foxtel channels, more movie channels. Foxtel is the norm now and not a luxary. Thanks

We stayed here the night before catching a flight. Firstly the location is great right on the river overlooking the story bridge. When we arrived we were helped with luggage by a friendly member of staff. I liked how the hotel entrance was set back off the main road so we could un load the car without difficulty. The hotel was close to a lovely walk up the river for dinner at eagle street pier which was nice. Compact room, comfy bed, decent prices minibar. Just a little thing when we arrived I explained we had a booking.com booking and that we had prepaid the room. The staff told me that only credit card details were taken to secure the booking and that we hadn’t prepaid. I knew we had and explained again that booking.com normally does that but on this occasion we had a cheaper rate and had pre-paid. The staff looked again and were however very apologetic for the misunderstanding and could see we had paid. So this was a little bit annoying after a long travel but not the end of the world and was rectified quickly. We had paid an upgrade for a room with a view over the river, unfortunately we were given a low room so you couldn’t see the river unless stood up on the terrace which was a shame so a tip would be to ask for a room on a higher floor to benefit from the upgrade. The air-conditioning also appeared to be very weak and not really working so we didn’t sleep very well due to the heat. However all in all good location, nice looking hotel and near to lovely riverside walk and restaurants. If stayed again would request higher room and check air con. Weak air con. Paid for upgrade of room to river view, couldnt benefit when sat down. Request higher room to benefit.

Location and the view but its not worth the hassle The aircon does not work, so we had to have the door to the balcony open all night and the traffic noise on the bridge was very loud and caused us to not get a lot of sleep. When I told the staff in the morning, they really didn't care at all. The wifi is expensive, in this day and age, hotels that gouge clients for internet need to be boycotted. Everything in the room had a price, not even any free water. The soap in shower was like a rock and would not lather I would never stay there again and suggest you consider someplace else. Also its not very close to any shops or restaurants.

Seemed to be in a good central location Be very careful when booking a two bedroom apartment as you will end up in a one bedroom loft and have to share the bathroom that is an on-suite attached to the bedroom. The living area was very small and simple. The staff were extremely unprofessional, unhelpful and arrogant. It is a shame as most Medina and Toga accomodation around Australia prove to be very professional, seems there is always one bad apple.

We thought that a self contained unit with a kitchenette woul at least have a toaster. There was only a microwave, no hotplates and no toaster. The staff were extremely poor in their attitude.

Simple room, good location, cheaper parking than most (only $5/day). 24Hr front desk is good. I booked a wrong day, but the hotel was able to change it to another date, and avoided any extra fees, which I appreciated.

Great view. Close to city. Elevator service is very good. Staff are friendly and efficient. Rooms sharing a door with another guest room inevitably causes noise problems. The very noisy, party-animal types in the next room meant we didn't sleep much during our first night.

It was well situated for our purposes. It was modern, the foyer area was very attractive and the rooms were very clean and new Our only problem was that the hot water didnt work on the night we arrived. The staff responded very quickly when we reported it, however we fixed the problem ourselves the next morning ( switch was off in the power box)

For what we needed to do in Brisbane, the position was excellent. My only suggestion for improvement, is to be greeted as one walks to, or past reception. The greeting should be initiated by staff.

Location close to restaurants, ferries and city. Clean room. Other places I have stayed have tv guide in room. I could not eat at your restaurant as there were no vegan meals. Will pizza or other takeaway businesses deliver to Medina?, If so their menu's and phone numbers would be good to have in room. We arrived and didn't feel like getting back into car to find food. I booked through internet and found that I couldn't find out what room I would be in when I rang the Medina, I would have liked to be able to request what floor I was on or what room.
