Medina Executive Coogee  

Rooms were fine, clean no issues except for the awful noise from the main street, which the hotel can't really do much about that. The service from staff was spot on, we enjoyed our stay other than the bad noise from street.

Not close to ocean, too much noise from street and too close to neighboring buildings as we also heard their party in early morning hours.

The location was great and parking was easy.Would love to stay again if refurbished.

The apartments are in desperate need of a refurbishment. The lamps were broken, the bed was old and lumpy. The kitchen equipment, aircon and furniture was dated and had seen better days. The apartment was also not very clean with many stains on the carpet and marks on walls. During our stay the ensuite toilet was broken and so was the pool/gym facility that couldn't be fixed the entire weekend - we were advised there was no maintenance available till Monday morning.

Good for combining a visit to Sydney with a seaside location. It is only a short taxi ride to the airport. A frequent bus service will take you to central Sydney within about 30-45minutes. The street is a main shopping street with a supermarket right opposite. The reception desk is manned 24 hours.

Being a main street, it was noisy on Friday and Saturday nights until quite late. The kitchen only had one small saucepan and no frying pan. Despite this it was relatively expensive to stay at Medina - even more so if you used their wi-fi internet connection. Coin-operated internet was available in the reception area but could not print items such as an airline boarding pass.

I loved the location, Coogee is a beautiiful place! But unfortunately I lost over $2000 dollars at Medina which was not deserved! We arrived with the airconditioning not working on a very humid night..so after alot of beggin we were moved into a room that smell of sigaretts all night,which was repolsive! & we didnt get any money back for the non- studio apartment room. The next day we were told me what to stay in the crappy room all week and then the staff members were awful to us as obviously it was our fault the air-con wouldnt work on our arrival,then the next day their was a dead cockroach in my bed! Worst experience, I lost so much money..It jsut isnt right. Please dont stay her as I dont want anyone else to be treated this poorly!

Why ask what you did not like and say "do not use this review for complaints"? On checking in I could not get the staff to answer the intercom to access the car park. Where was I suppose to stop and park in that location if I could not get off the street to check in? On going to the front desk, I found the staff totally impersonal and very slow. I had to wait 20 mins just to be served and that was with only two people in front of me. That is totally unsatisfactory. When all said and done, for the price, I thought the accommodation was very average ... and very dated. Your email regarding this survey asks whether I would like to answer '4' questions ... what it should say is four topics and about 13 questions.

The first room I had was very dark and I had to move rooms. The second one was good!

I liked the location, walking dostance to the beach and playground for kids. Woolworths nice and close and kitchen provided.

I did not like the fact that when I made a comment about the cockroaches in our room we were told "what do you expect at this time of the year". I made comment that this was understandable but we hade gone out and brought cockroach spray. We were not offered reimbursement for this.

Great location

Im not happy with your idea of an apartment,(a tiny kitchenette is not what I normally get in an apartment) and the staff were slow and unreliable. I organized a transfer and they booked me a taxi. Im normally very happy with medina but this particular one was very shonky.

Location is a big advantage and the self contained facilities in the aprartment appealed too (laundry etc)

It would be a big improvement to have a larger, out door, pool as this was the only disappointment of our stay

The location was excellent.

The room and it's facilities were very"ordinary" for the price.
