Novotel Melbourne On Collins  

This was our first stay @ the hotel & from the moment we stepped out of the car we were greeted by your very friendly staff. We were overwhelmed by the overall proffesionalism by your staff whilst we stayed in Melbourne. The upgrade of room was very appreciated, along with the facities which were available. The breakfast was deliciuos & once again , your staff were oustanding. Thank you so much for making our weekend away an unforgetable one & will be recomending your hotel to family, work collegues & friends. Fantastic !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had a wonderful experience. Very greatful to the loverly receptionist lady that aloud my daughter and I in our room early. Blessing when you have had a very early flight. All the staff that I had contact with while staying there were so nice and curtious.

The only thing was when I was in the gym area there were young children constantly unattened mucking around on the equipment.

Location is fantastic - good value for money - excellent restaurant.

I know it sounds petty but, the television reception was poor, with ghosting nad 1 channel just not available - when I enquired at reception they said they do not get a very good signal. WELL - you are in the centre of the city - FIX IT!!!!!!!!!!

The beds were so comfortable. In fact we have taken note of what they were and are considering upgrading our own. Hotel staff were very friendly. Needed to supply more towels at the pool area. There were often none on the shelves when we were down there.

We stayed from Thurs 29th March to Sun 1st April & had breakfast each morning. We found the Indian man organising the dining room at Breakfast to be not very obliging. He found it difficult when we wanted a table for our family together & we were told to wait even though we could see many tables that could we could be accommodated at. An Australian man came to us & sorted us out so that we did not have to wait. Also when my 22yrs daughter told him we were having a problem with the juicer.. He (the Indian gentleman) told her it was because she was putting waternelon in it. How absurd! My daughter said the blades were obviously blunt. Apart from this our stay was great.

Central location, on Collin street, easy for shopping and dinner inside the city.

Price was a bit high for such brand and hotel. Breakfast was also a bit high on price and too much tourist were invading the place.

Location was great. Within walking distance to shops and food.

The t.v's in the room could have been bigger. Also the sound proofing between rooms and the corridor could be greatly improved as you can hear everything.

Took one hundred dollar deposit for mini bar which we never use and we still are yet to get our money back????

The location of the hotel was fantastic, close to all we wanted. The room was of a generous size and the breakfast delicious and plentiful.

The pillows were either too thin or too thick. But, hey, nothing is as good as your own is there!

I was most impressed with a young woman on the front desk called Natalya who was so pleasant & efficient & even remembered my friend & me from our stay last year. Actually every member of staff was very helpful if we needed anything..

Value for money was second to none, I think we must have got a special as we stay in melbourne city 4 times a year (and have done for the past 3 years) and no other hotel has come close to this one in terms of value, space and luxury (in that price range).
