Good location Helpful staff Aesthetically pleasing
Expensive room rates Expensive wireless Expensive parking King-size bed is actually 2 singles TV positioned to the side of the bed not ideal for watching while relaxing Room was oddly warm and stuffy all the time even though it was 14-19 degrees during the day and the air-conditioning couldn't keep up Breakfast/dining area is below the rooms and the noise echoes - guaranteed to wake you of a morning.
Location and view
Good location, friendly staff. Great door man (English). Would go again!
Well looked after by staff, great pool.
Couldn't leave blinds open because other guests can see straight into your room on opposite side of atrium, no atmosphere in restaurant.
Good service great location buffet breakfast amazing
Parking fee is so expensive.
The hotel had the appearance of a Grand Old Hotel however the inside was modern and very well set out. the location was great and the atmosphere was inviting. The staff made you feel special and at home.
Staff were very friendly, professional, and helpful. The room was of a high standard and very comfortable. We will definitely be happy to stay here each time we visit Melbourne.
The only fault was our room was located next to the cleaners storage room and we were woken up by the staff accessing there equipment. Apart from that all good.
Staff were fabulous- friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. English doorman was fantastic and remembers every guests name! Location is walking distance to so many of Melbourne's attractions, with trams and taxis at the front door if you need them.
Lacked city views, but internal views of old building facade were interesting.
Location is great. It is only a 5 minute walk from the Southern Cross Railway Station. Taxis are plenty and the tram stops in front of the door. The hotel is built around an old street which they covered with a glass roof. On what used to be the street, they have the restaurant and bar. Looks quite cool. The rooms are not huge, but very comfortable. I really like the fact there is a charger in the safe. Very clever.
The breakfast cost 38 AUD and that is just very expensive if you are already paying 250 a night. Because the rooms overlook the covered street, the noise coming from there can be a bit loud (because of the roof and sounds like a big hall). Not enough space to hang towels.
There wasn't anything we didn't like
Location was excellent, staff very helpful
The service and staff were excellent.
That we couldn't stay for longer!
Great location, friendly and helpful service from staff, the king size bed - very very comfortable, bath!
Hotel staff efficient, pro active with meeting accommodation and tourist requirements. Hotel ambience excellent. Room was clean, organised and to an expected standard.
Great hotel. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent facilities. Good location.
Everything was up to standard, breakfast was great, staff were very helpful, first impressions when you walk in was wow.
the room was quite expensive per nights stay, the room was quite smallish.
In overall the hotel was really nice and enjoyable.
The balcony in the rooms is just for visual aspects they can't be used which I did not like!
The great use of the open area in the centre of the complex.
No views Dark gloomy Club..very over-rated, esp. for breakfast when down stairs had a much better ambience. and more tables suitable for eating a meal. Had to ring to get our bags delivered after waiting for at least 1/2 hour after check in.
The single negative that I could find is the absurd prices of the mini bar. Three 50c pieces of chocolate for $15.00? Nonetheless, everything else was perfection and the incredible breakfast made up for all the lost chocolate!
The staff where friendly and willing to assist at every turn.
The king size bed was as hard as a rock. Did not sleep very well the entire stay. There was also a loose object in the air con/heating that also contributed to poor sleep. When complaint registered with concierge upon checking out it was written on a note pad and not entered onto a computer or official type form.
Light as flicking I reported it
Great products. Very clean bathroom. Excellent club room with generous food and alcohol
Hotel needs to put in new carpet. White towels on grey side and not fluffy enough
Pillows a bit too squishy, but otherwise all great.
