Amazing black out blind meant you could sleep in - and the hotel was fairly quiet too. Very comfy beds and good design and decor. We also had a view over the park which was lovely. The hallway was not as modern and smelt a bit of stale tobacco, though this didn't matter once you got to your room as these are really nice.

Room Service was prompt and food delicious. Bed was amazingly comfortable. Location short walk to Rod Laver Arena - perfect for our concert.Late checkout was ideal ona sunday. The shower door entry was a tight squeeze, however the shower head provided a relaxing shower. Our only complaint was that we received a knock on our door on sunday morning at about 1030 asking us what time we were checking out. As the Sunday checkout was up to 1430 I found this a bit "rude". Besides that.......would visit again..

The thing that most impresses me each time I stay at the Mercure Spring St is the very helpful and friendly staff. They are always willing to oblige. Not really a complaint as I know you are refurbishing but I did miss not being able to park the car.

Bed was comfy. The hotel was being renovated while we were there and I can confidently say we were in one of the unrenovated rooms. The water in the shower was cold but to the credit of the staff they addressed this within 15mins. It's annoying that car parking is offsite, so if you don't have a car, it'll be fine for you.

The rooms were spacious and the size of beds were good We were informed there would be work on hotel from 9 till 5 in the day, But the work woke us at 7.30 in the morning and at 9 there was loud drilling. Spoke to reception who informed manager who said sorry but it was like he had to say it to satisfy us. I feel this also reflects on booking.com. Like to know your opinion?

We liked staying at the Mercure because it is so close to all facilities,we went to the footy, and also to the theatre, and to be able to stroll down into the city. trams right out the front, and also the Fitzroy Gardens right across the road. To sum it up it was very good, will stay there again.

Quick check in & check out. They let us leave our car in the car park overnight & for the full day for only a small cost. Bathrooms were a bit old & quite small.

The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The rooms were immaculate with every modern convenience to make my stay pleasant. Loved the iphone / ipod dock. Overall I was very impressed and would definitely stay at Mercure again. The only thing I was disappointed with was there was no moisturiser in the bathroom. I purposely didn't pack the moisturiser assuming I could get my hands on some freebies in the hotel room haha.

Was good value for money and the decor of the room was more reminiscent of something more expensive. It was one of the most quiet Hotels I stayed in too. And I had a beautiful view of the gardens, even though I got a special deal via booking.com, so I wasn't expecting to get a view! The maids were so cheerful too, even though they do the most difficult job in the hotel. I really enjoyed my stay! The shower, the bed, the mini bar, the room service....all were just bliss to me. I didn't like the scrambled eggs in the Lime cafe at breakfast. But anyway the rest was really good. Maybe if there was a speedier way to check out...I Was waiting with a few people in front of me and only one poor person attending and haveing to answer phone as well.
