Mercure Melbourne - Treasury Gardens (formerly Spring Street)  

I loved the room decor, the view and the park opposite. Plus the closeness to trams and Rod Laver center.

Convenient location in CBD but not in front of a crowded area. Nice frontage of Fitzroy park. Public transport close by.

Great location and fantastic modern rooms with a funky twist. Room has everything you will need for a city visit to Melbourne

Very good Pork belly and crab dish on dinner menu. Location with regard to the Peter Mac Hospital Good value at $135

Limited and ordinary room service menu Lack of gluten free toast. Even though the waitress said they would get some when I had to leave it had still not arrived.

I love the refurbished rooms. The linen and the hot pink throw were really lovely. The carpet great and the chair in the corner was great. The refurbished bathroom is great although the shower door opens in a particularly awkward direction. All in all, it was a very pleasant surprise from previous stays. I liked having a view onto Treasury Gardens and the opportunity to join the awards club. The staff were extremely helpful, hardworking and friendly.

Nothing really, it was much better than previous stays. The carpet by the wardrobes and the mirror on the wardrobe doors needed cleaning as did the carpet inside the wardrobe.

Overpriced breakfast, AUD 23 per person for a mediocre breakfast buffet , extra and overpriced charges for the slow internet with problems, charges for using the phone (although it was an 800 number), smallest garage i hvae ever seen, and to top it all on the end, 1.5 % for using the credit card. a small room, which desperately needs renovation.

A lovely clean room. Walking distance to main area shopping and rod laver arena if you feel like walking or easy access to public transport if you don't want to walk. The beautiful park across the road. The breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were excellent. I have no hesitation in staying at the Mercure again.

This is not a complaint just a bit disappointing. On arrival back from the Rod Stewart concert on friday night my friend and I were looking forward to sitting back and having a coupe of drinks to finish off a really good night, but we were told the bar closed at 10.00 pm.

Was good value for money and the decor of the room was more reminiscent of something more expensive. It was one of the most quiet Hotels I stayed in too. And I had a beautiful view of the gardens, even though I got a special deal via booking.com, so I wasn't expecting to get a view! The maids were so cheerful too, even though they do the most difficult job in the hotel. I really enjoyed my stay! The shower, the bed, the mini bar, the room service....all were just bliss to me.

I didn't like the scrambled eggs in the Lime cafe at breakfast. But anyway the rest was really good. Maybe if there was a speedier way to check out...I Was waiting with a few people in front of me and only one poor person attending and haveing to answer phone as well.

My husband and I really enjoyed our staff at The Mercure - very friendly and helpful staff and great room! Thanks for a great stay in Melbourne.

Good location & the restaurant meals were good.

That we were not given proper directions to the Car park, therefore parked in the wrong one! When we arrived in our room there was a half drunk bottle of water in the mini bar, and the room was advertised with a king size bed, but infact it was 2 singles just pushed together, very dissapointed. Will not be staying there ever again, and will most definetly not recommend the Mecure to anyone. As it was a very expensive room with false advertising.

Amazing black out blind meant you could sleep in - and the hotel was fairly quiet too. Very comfy beds and good design and decor. We also had a view over the park which was lovely.

The hallway was not as modern and smelt a bit of stale tobacco, though this didn't matter once you got to your room as these are really nice.

Good place friendly staff

We liked staying at the Mercure because it is so close to all facilities,we went to the footy,and also to the theatre,and to be able to stroll down into the city. trams right out the front,and also the Fitzroy Gardens right across the road. To sum it up it was very good,will stay there again.
