Dirty torn curtains, spider webs inside landing windows, noisy air conditioner, dirty Windows inside + out, freezer needed defrosting, TV too low - mount on wall, pillows too soft need replacing, poor bed making, wardrobe needed revarnishing, no second chair to eat breakfast in room, very poor presentation, old wooden trays - stainless better, paint peeling from ceiling + walls carpet stained etc.
Friendly staff & great location
Shower was disgusting, badly in need of an upgrade.
Hey my son got stabbed in Ballarat so had to go after being there for an hour. We didn't even get a chance to mess the room. The walls are disgusting give them a wash, bleach the bathrooms mold in them. Wash the outside of the Windows they were disgusting too.
Proximity to hospitals, Reasonable Value for money.
"Extras" on the bill, such as parking and credit card surcharge. The bathrooms need an upgrade. Shower in the bath is difficult when you are not so spry anymore.
The staff were very friendly and went out of there way to make our stay a pleasant experience.
Softness of the beds.
We had been upgraded to another room. The shower in our upgraded room had mould on the walls. In our original room the bathroom was disgusting, way to much mould.
Location and Room service. The staff.
Door handle on bathroom was very loose and it was difficult to open. Being charged extra for carparking.
Handy for kids hospital. Staff very friendly and helpful. Thank you.
Rooms a bit shabby and dated. Standard room very shabby and could have been cleaner. Hotel needs painting, new floor coverings and more attention to detail with cleaning.
everything as we were in a good location for the hospital.
The only plus from this hotel, was that we were refunded our nights stay after an email of complaint to the general manger.
We were locked out of our room in the middle of the night, as the keys would not work, and the staff could not open. The employee was annoyed at us, as we had inconvenienced him as he could not go home at 11pm when his shift ended. Did not seem to matter that we could not get into our room, and were asked to wait in the hallway for nearly two hours while the problem was fixed. there were no other rooms available. Rude staff, terrible attitude, would not go back, neither would I recommend to anyone.
Staff were very pleasant
Building was old and has seen better days.
The poor and sauna and breakfast!
Staff were fairly friendly and the linen was clean. Parking was extra but convenient.
The first room was checked into was atrocious. It smelled like old smoke and chemical air freshener, had road noise, peeling paint and a busted fly screen. We "upgraded" to a quieter room but unfortunately the bed was smaller and ironically there was a party in the house next door which raged til about 3:30am. No mini bar, breakfast not included. Overall, low budget, shabby surrounds with a mid-budget price tag.
Could leave car there. Handy to markets and downtown.
Cleaners were amazing & very helpful
Most of staff didn't go out of their way to accommodate you & tokens for boom gate abit outdated, the rooms were outdated (beds were fine). Shower didn't have good pressure & was either boiling hot or cold couldn't get it to work. Charge for parking
Comfortable beds, friendly staff, good room cleaning.
In room fridge was noisy & frosted up (replace it). Parking tokens are inconvenient & should work from room card, parking fee is unjustified. Even though entire booking was prepaid a credit card "test" transaction was required which was processed & then credited. The lift needs servicing as the doors close too quickly and are dangerous for elderly & children. Overall the rooms are spartan and require modernizing.
Staff really helpful and kind. Good location (3 tram stops from the city center).
Location to Melbourne uni and hospitals
We were offered an upgrade via booking.com for an extra $20 which I accepted. I shouldn't have wasted my money. The room was very small, one tiny window, bathroom needed renovation. Had stayed previously in a far more spacious room with lots of windows. Also arrived 930pm and all we could get to eat was pizza either via room service or cafe We walked to nearest 711 shop. A disappointing return visit
Friendly, helpful staff. Good location.
Bed was not very comfortable. Flemington road end is quite noisy,
Good location and staff were friendly. Beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows.
Woken early by noisy traffic (from 5am onwards). The cost of parking was a bit overpriced.
Value for money on Grand Final weekend.
Checking in with a football team ahead of us and only staff member on reception. Too slow!
The intimate feel of the whole place not too far places
Air cons would work better
Service was excellent, restaurant was excellent, location was ideal - really close to childrens hospital
Room was tiny, outdated, air con didnt work, lifts are dodgy, beds were really uncomfortable.
