Slightly inconvenient to not have tea and coffee making facilities in the room (you need to go to the common kitchenette). Unfortunate that the property restaurant is only open between Thursday and Sunday (which meant that we missed eating there). That said, the staff graciously booked us at another joint for what turned out to be a wonderful meal. While the old-worldly and homey appeal is undeniable, minor upkeep interventions would help.
The sense of history - Victoria's oldest inn, no less! Inviting common areas. Cosy and homely feel that permeates the property. The attached living room, with a wonderful, mantlepiece-and-chimney-included fireplace! Complementary on-site parking.
