Staff were great ( especially Matt), good a la carte breakfast, loved that hair and bath products were decent brands ( Kevin Murphy and Milk) and great location.
everything was so nice
Nice modern room Cleanliness Decent surroundings Midday checkout
Small room No elevator Adult drawer
We had some medical issues while staying at the hotel and the man on reception was beyond professional he was truly caring individual when trying to help us. We were very touched. Despite there being no lift. They carried our very heavy bags up the stairs. Room wasn't big but very comfortable with a lot of character. We couldn't recommend this hotel enough.
All in one. Great breakfast, rooms clean and helpful, happy staff. Great lounge with fireplace for chilly days. Hotel had a considered, contempoary attention to detail.
The friendliness of staff
No elevator. Was just tricky with taking luggage upstairs
Very quirky and hipster! Great location and pub
We enjoyed the area, our room and the pleasant staff.
The lack of light in bathroom & cloak room, just no where to do make up. Still out on window in shower being next to bed!!! A bit strange we thought. We found it difficult to find a coffee except at meal times but plenty in street.
Bed, original features - staircase, high ceilings, dining room etc Staff, wifi, convience of position Breakfast/food, being able to include breakfast in price.
Bathroom needs a bench or somewhere to put toiletries make up etc. It was a great shower though. Can the windows be open for fresh air??
Huge suite well updated
Lack of secure parking
Close to beach, city, St Kilda, public transport just across street, fee parking was available in nearby street. The small village had all the essentials and a nice friendly feel. Hotel itself was very comfortable with a very wholesome breakfast. All round great value.
Nothing to dislike.
Location. Just across the road from bowling club where I was competing in Transplant Games.
No lift for elderly guests
convenient for my travels
bed was way to small
Pleasant staff, tasty breakfast, proximity to tram and Albert Park
Unable to see out of window (frosted), layer of dust on many surfaces and TV did not function properly
Great location, huge room & luxury bathroom, clean, friendly, great minibar, great breakfast, free wifi, parking close by
No mattress protector on the bed :(
Your stsff were wonderful
Couldn't connect too wi fi number would not work
Loved the layout of room Bed was comfortable Food and service was great Bathroom was nice!
Didn't like staircase every time I needed to go up or down (would have liked an elevator)
Great location with 8 minute tram ride to city departing outside the door. Also close to beach and lake.
Room was comfortable but a little too confined for our liking.
I like the food provided by the restaurant in the hotel, they cook excellent food. Also, I like the location of the hotel, it is very easy to travel to the city center with tram. The staff at the reception were very nice and helpful to us. I will stay at this place again in future.
I didn't like the room in the hotel and it is too small for two people to live in. Especilly when you travel, you have some luggages with you.
The evening meal in the dining room was excellent, the unusual breakfast menu proved to be equally good, quirky but good. These are the only redeeming features I can think of.
Fitting a grand en-suite into a small room then giving the room a fancy name does nothing but make a small room inadequate. Putting a full length clear glass panel between the shower cubicle and the head of the bed is just perverse. Jamming the top end of one side of the double bed against the wardrobe so only one side is accessible in the normal manner is just trying to make a double room out of a single one, and failing miserably. The stairs and the 'display' of old suitcases in the stairwell looked as if they hadn't seen a duster or vacuum cleaner for many months. There is no appropriately located parking. Had we been booked for more than two nights, we would have checked out and gone elsewhere. If 'Boutique' means 'quirky' this hotel fits the bill. This is very sad as somebody has obviously spent a lot of money trying to update this old hotel, but most places like that would make three rooms into two with the middle one becoming the e-suites, not spend a lot of money reducing a small room by at least a third of its size and trying to sell it as something it isn't and never will be. I did leave these comments on the comment card at the hotel.
Location, staff, restaurant, quality of hotel fittings, room service, amenities.
Rooms too dark, particularly the bathroom! Hard pillows (personal taste)
staff did their utmost to help. A great location. All amenities The general area has a village atmosphere Close to public transport South Melb markets are nearby and a must to visit Beach and walking areas closeby
The history of the hotel and the lounge
The cramped bathroom and the strange window from the bed to the shower!
Atmosphere and the friendly manner of the staff was all top class I will certainly return
Could do with better (more) lighting in room.
